Outstanding food and wine, with plenty of gluten- and dairy-free alternatives that don't take away at all from the core flavours of the dish. I avoid carbs usually but I was not about to miss out on these gnocchi (and I was not disappointed). What sets this place apart is the service. Staff seemed pleased to see each other and were always on hand to ensure our special occasion went smoothly. We were allowed to taste wines (all beautiful) to ensure we enjoyed what we would order. The owner, Keiran, was ever present with a beaming smile. Of all the wonderful restaurants in Cairns, Piccolo Cucina will continue to be our restaurant of choice for special occasions.

Really lovely place. Atmosphere, food and service were great. Tommaso and Natalia recommended the best options for us what to eat. I really appreciate their help, because my partner is celiac and I’m vegan. Food was tasty, fresh and portion was perfect.

We were vwry happy during our dinner. Gluten-free pasta is available. Penne, but an Italian penne which made such a difference. It tasted homemade, and we had to ask them about it.
Vegetarian options available and vegan options possivel.
Very tasty food, great service and atmosphere!
Ordered the gluten free pizza here and was disappointed. Tasted like the base was made from a sao biscuit. Very dry. Stay clear of it to avoid disappointment guys.
