We ordered a gluten-free pizza and I'm not sure if they fully ignored the "gluten-free" part or if there was cross-contamination somewhere, but it was not at all a gluten-free pizza. It triggered the worst reaction I've ever had and I'm still in pain now, almost a week later. I can't even say that the pizza was worth it; the toppings were alright but the crust was mediocre and the whole thing was over-priced. Absolutely miserable experience.
Enjoy a cozy bistro vibe here with expertly plated dishes that leave guests eager to return for more.

Penne pasta only for the Gluten Free options which is a bummer to enjoy something enjoyable each visit. Catering to more of a generational family style experience. I vote for gluten free Angel hair pasta pls!
Incredible spot known for its lively vibe, unique cocktails, and a menu packed with flavorful vegan and delicious options; expect a bit of a wait!

I’ve been a fan of Dopo since they opened. I’m gluten free (not by choice) and they have a good homemade crust. I also didn’t know how well margaritas went with pizza until they advertised it. They make killer cocktails. I finally came on here to do a review as my recent visit had me blown away. They now have a delicious gluten friendly gnocchi! This is impossible to find despite that it is fairly easy to do (I just swap a 1:1 flour in my Italian grandmas recipe). My not GF friends love this dish too. Service is always great and the vibe is so fun. Be prepared for a wait if you go there on a weekend night.
Expect a warm vibe with generous portions, attentive service, and bonus treats that make any slight wait worthwhile.

We came in because I learned that they now have gluten free chicken Parm! However, I was disappointed that it was NOT breaded. Also, my husband's food was served about 10 minutes before mine. The server and, who I believe was the manager, apologized profusely for this, and compensated us with a delicious free dessert. So overall, it was a good experience, and I am grateful for the excellent way in which we were treated.
This cozy Italian gem boasts a warm vibe and standout service, ensuring a memorable dining experience with authentic flavors.

Absolutely fantastic food, atmosphere, and service.
Our server, the lovely Ali Kai, not only had impecable recommendations but took the time and was thoughtful when hearing about all the dietary restrictions we had. She alone would be reason for a repeat visit.
Under the watchful eye of Chef Paolo, our table and everyone else dining were taken care of. We never ran out of water or bread.
I am dairy and gluten free and I had one of the most wonderful experiences. I truly cannot remember the last time I was able to have Italian food.
I am currently standing at my island table eating from the take away box from our dinner an hour ago.
A fantastic spot with top-notch service and in-house made cheesecake that steals the show; perfect for a memorable meal!

My husband and I decided to go to Johnny's for our anniversary. He had never been there, and I had been 8.5 years ago. It was the best experience we have ever had! The service was 100% top-notch (and I watch for everything). The food was to die for! The owner does the cooking, and you can't beat that! They have gluten-free options for pasta, which was delicious! The cheese cake was the best I have ever tasted. They make it in-house and beats anything else. It was light, creamy, not too rich....perfection! The Manger was friendly and helps with service, the servers and waiters were great, our water was always filled, the timing of food was just right, and the price for what you get was excellent. We highly recommend and encourage you to go! We will be returning often.
A must-visit for sandwich lovers, offering unique bread choices and hearty portions in a clean, welcoming atmosphere.

The Best Sandwich shop in the Reno/Sparks area. Why? Because they offer gluten-free bread. At this restaurant, you are given a choice of which gluten-free bread you would like. Imagine that! If you are not gluten-free then you have no idea. Yes, other shops have gluten-free bread and I can only describe the bread as not very good or often stale. But not here. The bread is outstanding.
Imagine my surprise when the waitress asked what kind of Gluten-Free bread I wanted. Oh my goodness. I was overjoyed and excited. I asked her which bread she would recommend for an egg salad. She highly suggested the Rosemary Focaccia. All the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I loved looking at all the choices in the deli counter. In fact, this restaurant reminds me of the incredible Bagel shops in New York City. Yep, they are that good.
I chose Rosemary Focaccia due to her recommendation. The focaccia tasted homemade and fresh. The bread is so flavorful, crusty on the outside and so tender on the inside. I got the egg salad sandwich. It was spectacular. I got it with everything except cheese. Hints of rosemary and the egg salad blended so well together. It was a huge sandwich. I can't rave about this sandwich enough. As I think about it, my mouth is watering. There is no skimping on fillings here. The sandwiches are huge.
My husband had an Egg Salad sandwich on a Dutch Crunch roll. Dutch Crunch used to be my favorite bread for egg salad. But, I can honestly say, I didn't miss having this bread. He loved his sandwich as well.
We got fries with our sandwiches. We asked for them to be extra crispy which is exactly what we received. The fries went well with our sandwiches.
They have a large inside dining room with more tables outside. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Every so often someone came around to clean and wipe down the tables and floor if needed.
We can't wait to go back to this restaurant. I would especially like to thank them for giving those of us who are gluten-free a choice in sandwich bread. Thank you!
Incidentally, if you are looking for a caterer, I highly recommend this business.
Love the service... The manager is amazing , all of our servers have been great every time. The food is also super great... Never a bad experience. My son with Celiac, loved the gluten free pasta!

The staff was very accommodating.. We were fortunate enough to also meet the owners who were extremely pleasant and welcoming.
I was pleased they had gluten free options which is rare in rural areas. Their chicken wings were yummy and their salad bar extremely fresh and clean.
Highly recommend when in the area.
Our favorite Reno restaurant. We've been eating at Mario's for 10 years starting with their old location. They make us feel like family. The food is terrific and all the staff are warm and friendly. And their gluten free pasta is house made and the best I've had!
Always delicious, always amazing service. Fun pirate decor, warm atmosphere. Love the filet with bacon onion relish. A safe place for gluten-free allergy/ celiac customers.
