I ordered the onion rings for my friend who is celiac and from the time I called to the time she was able to eat her first onion rings in over 10yrs.... she is IN BLISS!!!
And I am so excited for her!

First time trying Spoons Diner, and wow! Worth the long line, and I will definitely be coming back here. I love a retro-style diner, and the food was delicious! Their gluten free english muffin was so tasty that it was suspicious. I have a gluten sensitivity and did not have any reactions from anything I ate, despite the risk of cross contamination. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast.
Very fast and accommodating. Wonderful surprise of a gluten-free donut, didn't know that existed! Was a very nice compliment to a perfect coconut milk latte.
Neat vibes with cool wooden tables and a great atmosphere, but watch out for tricky directions in the Douglas Centre!

Google maps wasn't great for directions as it told me to go down a street but it was in the Douglas Centre. I tried it because I had an Entertainment coupon. I got the gluten-free, which wasn't cheap, but pretty good and especially for a gluten-free crust.
They also had neat wooden tables.
Expect generous portions bursting with flavor and a neighborhood vibe that makes it a local favorite.

The food from the Persian Grill is SO good. The kebab has a ton of flavour and the saffron rice was nice and light. The portions are also very large, it is definitely worth the price. So glad this place is in my neighbourhood. Also, most of their dishes are gluten free.
