This place is a lifesaver for gluten-free options! I had the cauliflower with rice, and it was both delicious and safe for my dietary restrictions. It’s so nice to have a place where the staff is knowledgeable about allergens.

TL;DR: Visited Casa Manila a few weeks ago, excited to try a new cuisine. Staff assured me dishes were gluten-free — they weren’t. I got sick. When I raised it, management dismissed my concerns and showed no accountability. They also spoiled my birthday surprise by mentioning the expected cake with candle. Extremely disappointing. If you have dietary restrictions, avoid this place. ----- I visited Casa Manila for the first time and was excited to try a new cuisine. I appreciated the time and care they seemed to put into maintaining a well-labelled menu. My sister arrived before I did and arranged for a candle to be added to the free birthday ice cream for me. The server told me about the surprise ahead of time, spoiling it, but I was still looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, the staff misguided me on what was gluten-free. Server 1 said they could accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free and that the adobo could be made gluten-free, after confirming with the kitchen. Server 2 said everything was fine except the jasmine rice, which was odd, but he confirmed after checking that the rice vermicelli could be made gluten-free. After eating, I started feeling off and asked whether the dishes used soy sauce. Server 2 admitted they did, and I had to explain that regular soy sauce contains gluten unless a gluten-free version is used. He clearly didn’t know what he was talking about, so I requested the chef come out. A lady came and instead of addressing the issue seriously, asked if I was just feeling "guilty" for eating gluten. I explained it’s a medical issue and that I was misled despite asking directly. She said customers are responsible for reading labels, but servers should not confidently recommend unsafe options. She admitted they had never dealt with this situation before. I asked what they could do for me, but she offered no solution. I told her I wouldn’t be paying and left. I cradled a bad stomachache and prepared for the onset of hives. Extremely disappointed. If you have any dietary restrictions, be very careful — or better yet, go somewhere else.

Friday lunch time waited in line for less than 5 minutes before getting my table. Staff was very polite well-trained and efficient. Table was clean and well supplied. Ordered a Gigi omelette with tomato slices as substitution for the fruit. It came with gluten-free toast which tasted very good and was not dry as many gluten-free toasts can be. The omelette was cooked perfectly and the tomato slices and a beautiful flavor and aroma. What can I say even the coffee was good. Overall an excellent experience for this gluten-free Celiac.

One of my favourite go to places in the area! The crepes, sugarcane juice, mojito, and the mushroom soup are SO good. The owner and the employees (shout out to Kian!) are extremely nice, and professional. They set the customer service standard really high! So, kudos to the owner for creating such a welcoming and kind environment. The food items are made in-house so not only are the crepes delicious, but guilt free or at least on the healthier side. They also have gluten free options - so they’re very accommodating when it comes to dieters accommodations! They also prepare the food pretty fast - so you’re in and out quickly. Thanks for always providing great food and service - I’ll see you guys soon!

My go-to burrito place. They have many gluten free options, including a gluten free burrito. Their chicken burrito, steak burrito, and the chips and guac are fantastic. The burritos consistently have a good amount and dispersement of filling, and a great crunch. The burritos are also structurally sound - we don't often end up with the filling spilling out. In addition to the tasty food, the service is great. An overall great experience that I'll continue coming back for.

I've been to this place before and had quite a pleasurable experience. I came back for the last evening of Winterlicious. I made a reservation and they seated my self and one other person right away. It took over 25 minutes for a waiter to come check in. After one did (she apologized for the wait and said she wasn't even supposed to be our waitress) then 5 minutes later someone else came (over 30 mins total). The restaurant had some tables but it really wasn't too busy. The meal took a VERY long time to come out. The only decent thing was the Apetizers, but the food took so long to come it wasnt worth sending it back and waiting for more. The dessert did come quickly. Both meals were plain and tasted like nothing special. They were able to accommodate for a gluten allergy. I was disappointed since I have had such good experiences there before.

For 2, we didn't have to wait long. The table was small so couldn't put food and drinks around comfortably. Server was nice, but a little slow and forgot we ordered the drinks first. My food was delicious. I would recommend the Chicken Riesling. The dessert were great sizes and tasty. The gluten-free most popular dish (whatever it was called) was disappointing. Free bread, but the prices were overall overpriced. Free bread!

Visited Safari Bar and Grill for the first time on a Sunday night. The wait staff and bartender where incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. The food was fresh, cooked as requested, hot and delicious AND they have a huge selection of food for gluten sensitive individuals. The patio was covered and heated, which will be very useful when it rains or gets colder, and there was a great games room upstairs. It was a truly memorable visit, and I hope to return soon!

In the last 30 years, they added a handful of vegan options and some gluten-free items. Aside from that, the menu hasn’t changed, you know exactly what you’re going to get, and it’ll always be delicious served by friendly staff.

Had a large group during a slow period, so we had lots of attention from the server. Found the service to be above average on the whole and very hospitable. Food tasted great and they were able to accommodate a gluten free request of one of our party members. Great GF crust, very fluffy and similar to a normal crust.

This is a neighbourhood favourite . It’s been around for a very long time! The food is excellent and good quality. The blackened salmon was delicious. The cauliflower could have been cooked a tiny bit longer but that’s my preference. I have a gluten allergy and had a lot of options to choose from! Will definitely return.

We enjoyed the fixed dinner menu which had great choices and was a very fair price! The risotto was our favourite (my boyfriend had the tagliatelle salsiccia which was well done just not "AMAZING!"). The orange polenta cake was gorgeous and on a vegetarian & gluten free diet I still had so many choices. Cocktails were beautiful and unique also. We will be back!

The server, Helen, was wonderful and gave great suggestions on what to order. The red curry is the best I’ve had anywhere. This is a great place to come if you have a gluten allergy. They have gluten free soy sauce and can make many dishes gluten free. I will be back!

As Director of Donations for Blankets of Toronto -York University Chapter, I must extend my gratitude towards Gino and his team at the Great Canadian Bagel. The GCB team's kindness and consideration in donating 20 bagels for our upcoming event was a gesture that was beyond comparison to anything I have ever seen. The care that Gino took in making sure that all the bagels were gluten-free, halal-free, vegan, etc demonstrates to everyone that the Great Canadian Bagel is a company that fosters diversity and inclusion. I've visited this location twice and each time there were 4 people working. Every single one of them engaged with us in such a positive way. They all had smiles on their faces and gave us tons of feedback on building our own pizza. We could tell they all get along with each other too which also made our experience that much better. On top of all that, the pizza was absolutely delicious….by far, the best pizza I’ve had AND it was Gluten-Free 😊 I will tell all my friends to try PI-CO for their next Pizza order but more importantly, I will be telling everyone to visit that specific location to make their experience an absolute pleasure. Umami Sushi is our go-to for sushi. Always fresh and delicious. Easy online ordering. Timely delivery. They do an EXCELLENT job of gluten free, including GF soy sauce, GF stickers making it clear your food was prepared safely. They also have their own GF crunch which is delicious. Their spicy mayo is extra yummy. The tuna, rice and avocado always fresh and yummmmm. Highly recommend. Love the Dragon and edamame.

I ordered the gluten-free pasta and a house salad. The Alfredo sauce was probably the best I ever had, although I forgot to ask if they used flour for thickener. I imagine that they would let me know if I order gluten-free 🤔 The house salad was too basic, I would skip it.

Slice N Bites is a pillar to the Toronto Jewish community. I have ordered from here many times, be it for a work event, a Shabbat dinner, or to feed my husband’s Pizza addiction. Their pizza is so good. The toppings, which range anywhere from your classic cheese to a “meaty” Hawaiian, are incredible. I really appreciate the variety of choices and the high quality products they choose. Their sushi is a staple in my orders- especially when I have to consider dietary restrictions. Vegans & gluten free individuals can look no further- Slice N Bites has the best sushi for you. At an event, this is always the first item to go fast- because people know how good Slice N Bites does it. We had Sandra cater a corporate lunch for us and everyone loved it unanimously! The quality of food and delivery service was phenomenal. Prices were very reasonable. She has halal and veggie options, it's all very customizable. (She also has vegan and gluten free options). She is very accommodating and quick to reply via email/phone. Love the food would be nice if there was a known specific gluten free option or sauces (soy sauce, etc). But can't beat it for service or offerings. Staff is Service Dog aware and very accommodating/understanding. Washrooms are accessible for the most part, the paper dispenser for drying your hands isn't as accessible as it could be but its workable.

I've ordered delivery from here for many years but never actually went to the location to dine in until recently. With a reservation we were quickly seated and served by friendly staff and it was quick to the eats. Everything I tried was great and there were a lot of gluten free options (other than the desserts) to accommodate a restricted diet. Regardless of your food choices you'll have plate fulls of options you'll enjoy. Will definitely go back at some point and will continue to order the delivery.

My family and I went yesterday for Winterlicious. It was delicious. They were very accommodating to my gluten sensitivity. I had the beet, goat cheese salad which was delicious, the main course was the lobster, shrimp pasta, which they substituted for gluten free pasta (for an extra charge). They serve Gelato as a palate cleanser between courses which is delicious and desert they gave me a Pavlova which wasn't on the winterlicious menu. They closed at 9pm but still took our 8:30pm reservation at 8pm. Pleasant experience.

The absolute best office lunch. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and restaurant is very clean and well organized. Food is always fresh fresh fresh!! and tastes amazing every time. I like the bamboo bowl; it's gluten free and good for a celiac. I add extra green curry sauce but don't feel the need to add an extra protein. Most days I can't finish the whole meal.

Amazing place, my daughter and her friends along with their parents had a blast! This new bracelet with unlimited tokens for 2 hours is an amazing idea! Pizza is tasty and they even have gluten free pizza to offer which came handy to offer to one of our guests. The service provided by the staff was amazing and they totally gave their best. I would only suggest to improve the prize exchange method and add an extra pizza oven to avoid delays.
