Having been to Saravanaa bhavan in Delhi, London and paris, I had high hopes of Amsterdam as well, but oh well. It was a mild experience much at lower level than all my previous experiences.
I was very surprised that this branch is only one who couldn't cater to gluten free dosa (GF). I mean can't complain it had many other options that were GF but I go this restaurant for my dosa not to have a North Indian meal. The restaurant didn't look or feel very appealing though the staff were very warm, served us with a smile on their face. I might retrun for service but over all, food was a miss for me.

You order your meal on the screen. The place is small but enough space to sit down and enjoy your meal. We ordered two different flatbreads. Both of them were very good. I am a full grown man and a half of this flatbread was enough for me. We also had 3 pieces of balls who taste very good. The price is average. Everything is glutenfree.
The quality of the food and the service was very good. I will definitly come back to this place.

Delicious food yesterday Wednesday 27-11-2024. Surprise menu 3 courses vegetarian, but a mushroom allergy and gluten intolerance were taken into account. Due to a visit to AfAS Live, we ate from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM and this was also taken into account. Fantastic experience and if we are in Amsterdam again we will definitely come back. We had a WONDERFUL experience at Maydanoz. The menu was available in multiple languages and included icons for allergens (gluten, vegan, etc) in addition to pictures of each food item to help you make your choice. The main man running the show on our Wednesday evening was incredibly friendly and understood cross contamination well (he put my fries in the oven and not the fryer). I got gluten free bread too. The flavors were 10/10 and I felt completely safe.
