My family went to Rhode Roots for the first time yesterday and were very impressed. A++ all around. My wife has celiac disease and finding gluten free safe restaurants with such an extensive menu can be challenging. We tried the clam cakes and chowder and and they were delicious. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back and try some other items on the menu.
With stunning water views and a strong beer selection, this spot is a hit for anyone looking to chill and enjoy the scenery.

Really beautiful view of the water, but this place is more beer friendly than cocktail. I was able to enjoy the few seltzers they had there, but it was great overall. Definitely has a lot of gluten free options if you're wondering. Wasn't too big of a fan of the fried chicken sandwich. It sounds delicious but tasted bland to me. But I would recommend the margarita pizza or the pulled pork sandwich!
Enjoy stunning views and a chill vibe while indulging in delicious bites, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal.

Visited Trafford Restaurant on a quiet Sunday for lunch and enjoyed a pleasant experience. We were seated on the second floor with beautiful views. We ordered calamari and the grilled mahi mahi sandwich—both were tasty. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Nice spot for a relaxed lunch with a view, and they offer gluten-free French fries, which was a plus.
Experience incredible Al taglio pizzas that have everyone talking, along with delicious entrees and a cozy small-town vibe.

I’m not sure why the rating average is barely above a 4. I have eaten in and taken out many times. The Al taglio pizzas are so good and my mom who can’t have gluten asks me to bring her GF pizzas from Federal Hill to NY. The entrees are also delicious (especially the meatballs) and the staff is very kind. Give it a shot.
A spot with unique takes on classic dishes, offering a good portion of vegan options and a fair price point. Loved for its Shakshouka and hash flight.

I have lied in Warren for 3 years...Uptown is my favorite breakfast place! I don't mind waiting because every order is "made to order". I have NEVER been disappointed! They are so sensitive to dietary challenges ...Gluten free, keto friendly! Orders are made to order...the wait is worth it! I have NEVER had bad service! I love this place!
Known for its amazing chowders and delicious seafood platters, this cozy spot offers tasty dishes at reasonable prices, though parking can be tricky.

I loved this place ,I would recommend this seafood place to eat .they have really delicious stuffed cohogs, the fish has a very light coating, the seafood platter is also very good.and the clam cakes are also very delicious.Reasonable pricing, very friendly service .this place has 3 kinds of chowder, white, red, clear ,I believe the red and clear are gluten free
There is not very much parking though.
Love this place. It is a "go to" for our family. Service is always pleasant and welcoming, the Bartender's Punch is outstanding anytime of year, and the food is amazing. Fresh, flavorful, filling, yum. ETA - they have gluten free buns as well!
Update - Chomp just continues to WOW. Their new location is so very well done. The added space, the location by the water, the design make Chomp an all around fantastic experience. The large bar now feels more welcoming, the bartenders are (and always have been) on point as well as fun to chat with. I'm so very happy for this homegrown burger joint that has flourished and is consistently amazing. Kudos.
With a chef who crafts each dish to perfection, this spot guarantees a delicious experience that exceeds expectations.

I can't eat gluten. The cook here not only made my food to order to accommodate that he made it taste fantastic. Alote of places will rush a gluten free order and the food will taste bad because of it. Not this place. Everything I eat taste amazing. I 100% recommend this place to everyone.
A hidden gem with a rotating menu of local delights, this cozy spot is beloved for its warm atmosphere and commitment to safety and innovation.

To say that this little restaurant is magical would be an understatement. My husband and I stumbled upon Bywater about five years ago and it’s held a special spot in our hearts (and bellies) ever since. The food is outrageous and many things I’ve had here are on my “best I ever had” list. The menu is a wonderful assortment of local and seasonal items that regularly change so there’s always something new and exciting. That being said, god bless them for always keeping the littlenecks and duck tacos in rotation because they are truly heaven sent (and what I’ve declared would be my last meal- with a slice of their gluten free chocolate cake).
The staff are some of the loveliest people you’ve ever met and make you feel so welcomed. They’ve gone out of their way on numerous occasions to make our night extra special. Katie clearly prioritizes her staff and it shows!
Throughout the pandemic Bywater has become even more beloved to us. They have made sure everyone’s health and safety are paramount and continue to make sure that staff and diners alike can enjoy a safe and clean surrounding. They’ve found innovative and delicious ways to protect their staff while still keeping them employed when indoor dining wasn’t feasible. Their weekly family meals have been a treat in our house that we so look forward to. The extra measures they’ve instituted as case numbers continue to climb is the reason that it’s the only restaurant we’ve dined inside of in RI in months. We have the exact same measures in NYC and appreciate having them when we dine at Bywater as well.
WRITTEN FOR A FRIEND:
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
Let me start by saying I have eaten here in the past without any issues. However, this past weekend we went out to celebrate my son's graduation, who happens to have a SEVERE Gluten allergy. I called to make a reservation and checked that they had a true Gluten-free menu and they ensured that they did. We arrived and placed our appetizer order, again ensuring that the waitress and chef knew of his food allergy. When they arrived at the table the Portuguese muscles had large pieces of bread on the plate and the Ahi Tuna had chips on the plate.... As a result my son no longer TRUSTED any of the food that was going to be put in front of him and would not eat ANYTHING!! Being his mother, I could see he was very upset and no longer enjoying HIS day of celebration. I went to speak with the manager about the situation and was told ALL they would do is remake the plates. If you know someone with this SEVERE of an allergy, this was not enough to settle him and allow him to eat comfortably with the mistakes that were already made!! As a result we had to walk out without eating disrupting what should have been a pleasurable family night celebrating my son's accomplishment, now it has only made him more fearful of eating out!!!
