I eat here often! The team are super knowledgeable about celiac disease and have a separate area of the kitchen for GF including a fryer for gyozas. There’s a separate GF menu that’s clearly marked - food comes in a separate bag and clearly labelled, GF soy sauce is available too!
Expect a vibrant dining experience with a diverse menu featuring fresh sushi, a cute aesthetic, and plenty of options for various dietary preferences.

It is very difficult to find an Asian restaurant whether it’s Korean or Japanese with a menu that’s clearly label with items that are gluten-free. I was extremely pleased that there was clear label of what was gluten-free on the sushi and especially since that was what I was jonsing for. The sushi nigiri and the rolls were super fresh, delicious and generous portion and reasonable in price. I really enjoyed my experience.
Freshly made sushi with a fantastic variety and great service, making it a popular spot for takeout or dining in.

I finally got around to trying sushi from Matsuri and it was amazing. Everything was freshly made (and you can taste the difference), the staff were wonderful, and the prices were fair. They have quite a variety of gluten free items which can be hard to find for sushi. They were also very knowledgeable and let me know what was and wasn't safe for celiacs. Definitely will be going back!
Expect a flavor-packed experience with fresh seafood and unique rolls, making each visit feel like a delicious adventure.

We went during happy hour so the menu was limited but the food was delicious. Highly recommend the pot of miso soup, very tasty. Items are clearly marked if they are gluten free.
Creative sushi options in a corner spot, where attentive service shines despite a less cozy vibe, making it an easy lunch favorite.

We try to come here almost every with for lunch and each time we have the same young lady who is absolutely amazing. She always remembers to bring us gluten free soy. The food is always excellent.
A new favorite with fresh, delicious sushi and great rice-to-filling balance; they've improved their offerings based on customer feedback and needs.

Update:
I used to love iSushi, and the owners changed. It's a bit different, but still great. The fish has always been tasty, but the rice is a bit different than most sushi places I've been. While different, it still tastes quite good. They've kept the prices the same, and frankly quality and service has been good. They also still have gluten-free soy sauce and options.
My wife and I went during the grand opening, and multiple times since. They've definitely listened to customer feedback and have improved their food. The servers are very kind and so are the chefs! I hope they stay in business. Their Korean food is also pretty good :)
A hidden gem on the road, this spot serves unforgettable sushi and offers an exceptionally welcoming vibe that keeps diners coming back!

I will start by saying I never write google reviews. Tonight my boyfriend and I while on a road trip through BC stopped in for sushi. I am celiac (gluten allergy) so it’s rare we can find a place so accommodating. Honestly this was the best sushi we have ever had! Ryan was our server and he was so friendly and made the experience. My only wish was that this sushi spot was at home in Ontario so I could get it all the time. I have no other words to say other then this place is absolutely amazing!!
Get ready for a fantastic Korean experience with generous portions, a cozy vibe, and delicious dishes that will keep you coming back for more!

Reina was just absolutely lovely! We asked for her recommendations and she did not disappoint. The husband is gluten intolerant and she checked in with the kitchen and was able to accomodate. I had the spicy gal-bi with a side of rice, and the husband got the stone bowl bibimbap with tamari on the side. The gal-bi portion was generous and scrumptious - I crushed the entire plate. She offered to bring out more of the side dishes (kimchi, picked radish, sprouts, etc) but we didn't need it. I really enjoyed the food, and would most definitely return to try other things on the menu. The service was outstanding; Reina made the experience even better! My only regret was not taking photos to share!
Dine here for delicious, hearty portions in a lively atmosphere—just be ready for the bustle and noise when it gets busy!

Highly recommend. Ate here twice within a week, food was excellent both times. Tried the chicken nest and the bibimbob bowl, both delicious. One of our group had the chicken rice, another had yam fries and chicken. They offer gluten free options, which was a very nice surprise... even for the fried chicken. They do get super busy so cross contamination will most likely be issue if you are very sensitive and the fried chicken will be in the same frier as regular. Portions are large.
Service is good and all staff are friendly and helpful but it's definitely slows down as they get busy. When it fills up it is also very loud. Obviously they can't control the volume of individuals but this is not a place if you want quiet conversation.
Enjoy a chill vibe with notable vegan options, an awesome dalgona milk tea, and reasonable prices that'll have you coming back for more!

Very kind people, delicious food, reasonable prices. Will definitely be back! Small gluten free menu but great options (I had the grilled chicken bento box). Lots of vegetarian and some vegan as well. My friend said it was one of the best vegan sandwiches she’s had. I would live off the dalgona milk tea if I could.
NOT CELIAC FRIENDLY. Both staff and owner are unaware of what gluten free actually means. This was one of my favourite restaurants, and if you have celiac disease, you know how tough it is to find a spot that really understands your concerns about gluten. They have friendly staff, and the rolls were tasty, however, I can't overlook a basic health concern that all restaurants should be considering. I'm super disappointed by this local spot that would have been a family favourite for years to come.
When you eat here, do not trust the separate "gluten free" menu as advertised. You will get sick. I have been eating here frequently over the past 5 months. Each time I've ordered, I have clearly stated that I have celiac disease/gluten allergy. I have made this clear to both the server when I've dined in, and when I've ordered through door dash. I order the same rolls, and to my surprise today, when I ordered my regular, the roll was without sauce. When I called to inquire why there was no sauce on my roll, they said that it had gluten in it, so they left it off. Now over the past several times eating here, I had felt a little off, but chalked it up to something else, since I was assured several times, that the food I was consuming within their restaurant was gluten free. Knowingly, and without attention to detail, the restaurant has been serving me gluten over the past 5 months. When I called and spoke to the owner today, he disregarded my concern, and stated that there was "only a little bit of gluten" in their sauces, and "all of their gluten free customers" had never had a problem. It's unfortunate, but I won't be coming to this restaurant anymore, and won't be recommending it to my friends in the celiac community. I hope they will make a change for future customers with dietary concerns.
I enjoyed the crispy tofu rice bowl I got. I have a gluten sensitivity, and I appreciated how thoughtful they were about it. The staff are so friendly. Would recommend!
