We visited La Rustica on Saturday night, drawn in by the inviting atmosphere and the friendly greeting from the hostess. However, our initial excitement quickly turned to disappointment.
First, we waited for a table 20 minutes after our confirmed reservation. After we sat it took at least another 20 to get drinks. After placing our order, we were informed—20 minutes later—that the restaurant had run out of gluten-free pasta. This was quite surprising given it was only 8 PM on a weekend. Clearly someone doesn’t know how to plan ahead. The chaotic night suggested a lack of organization; it felt like the entire place was on fire, with no one clearly in charge.
Ultimately, we settled for a salad and left feeling extremely let down. We hope that they can get its act together because the potential for a great dining experience is there. Please be better.
