The Cliff Hotel & Spa

I came to use the spa and restaurant. It's lovely that this option is open to locals as well as hotel guests. My personal preference is for a spa with natural light, so I immediately felt a little claustrophobic in this spa as it has no windows / natural light and the lighting is intentionally dimmed. However it's clean, calm and well managed. Good size sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The tiles are quite slippery underfoot. Had a delicious warm gluten free scone in the bar downstairs, with a gorgeous sea view. Super chilled vibes.

I only live a few mins away but due to an emergency at home we booked into the economy room which exceeded our expectations. The hotel has undergone vast improvements since we last stayed there, top marks to the designers and builders we were most impressed. The staff could not be faulted, they were so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Being a celiac l took a lot of snacks with me but there was no need as lots of gluten free foods available. The breakfast was superb as was the spar. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we intend to return again in January as a treat for ourselves. Top marks all round to everyone it was a most pleasurable experience.
