Had lunch here today. Basic cafe with indoor and street seating. View across the lake. Friendly and helpful staff. Burgers were basic but filling and good value at $13.50. Gluten free bread available. The strawberry crepe was very good. Reasonable prices.

This place is all about seafood. Fine seafood dining. Almost everything on the menu was gluten free by default.
If you're not a seafood fan then there are zero alternatives as far as I could tell. I don't like seafood so didn't enjoy 60% of the food (ok let's be honest, I hated 3 of the 6 dishes we had... disgusting. But to be fair, I was in the wrong restaurant: wish there was a non-seafood option for the very high prices we paid).
However, I'm rating this place a 5 because the people with me that liked seafood said it was "Amazing!!!". There are a dozen beer options and lots of wine selections. The wait service was impeccable.
We had the "tasting menu" for 6 people. If one person on the table chooses that then everyone on the table has to have that.
This gives you 4 starter courses (3 plates shared between 6 people) then 1 main each person, then 1 desert each. This was plenty of food for everyone.
They catered brilliantly for my wife celiac too. Almost everything on the menu was gluten free by default.
This spacious cafe features pet-friendly outdoor tables with serene water views, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere ideal for a relaxed breakfast or lunch. The friendly, knowledgeable staff ensure a comfortable experience for guests seeking gluten-free options.

Had a family lunch here today. Can sit inside or out in the street. Breakfast/lunch menu and specials board. Service organised and friendly. Beef and bacon burgers (one with gluten free bread) with chips were tasty and filling. Really enjoyed our lunch here.

This is no doubt one of the best cafes we have ever been to! Coffee and food were delicious - it's like a Homemade meal by mum. The atmosphere is simple and cosy, their cabinet has the most stunning range of food, and lovely gluten free options. Also the prices were super reasonable! We have been to HEAPS of cafes that preach quality, but are always disappointing and use marketing and aesthetics to charge ridiculous prices - BUT NOT THESE GUYS THEY ARE AMAZING! Exactly what you want in a Cafe

We stopped in at Ferry Cafe today for a late fish and chip lunch and were very impressed. The kids declared it was the best ever and we need to come back for more! Juicy and crunchy fried flake, well cooked grilled with no flour for the gluten free one and delicious chips (with a generous amount of chicken salt). Quick service and nice to have tables provided to eat outside.
