Delicious food at a fair price! Great choice of various pasta dishes or pizza. You get to chose the type of pasta or the those of pizza base.
The classic pizza is my go to and is the best pizza base I've ever had.
Also options for gluten free on pasta and pizza!
Been here twice now and will definetly be going more! Staff are friendly and the service is extremely fast once ordered.
The potion sizes match the prices, if not more. It's a struggle to eat the whole pizza, even without starter or desert. They are happy to give a takeaway box for any leftovers, so it doesn't go to waste.
A fairly small but cozy and decorative restaurant. Would recommend booking tables in advance, as can easily be fully booked.
Also a great ariety of drinks, ranging from soft drinks to wines to cocktails.
Highly recommended!
An amazing restaurant with truly delicious food!! My partner is gluten-intolerant and around 80% of the menu is gluten free or can be made without using gluten. The burgers are delicious and I would highly recommend the wings as they were our favourite part of the meal!
I am Coeliac so require gluten free. The waitress on arrival said I would need to see the manager who has an iPad. She came back 5-minutes later and said due to the allergy I had to only order at the bar. Still no iPad, she said the manager was coming. 10-minutes later still no manager or iPad. I spoke to the same waitress whose reply was, you have to order at the bar. I replied how can I do that I haven’t seen the manager or said I-pad. She replied she was on her way, 12 minutes later we gave up and left. At no time were we offered any drinks and to add insult to injury there were only 4 other people in the restaurant!! Diabolical service
Pizza Hut have absolutely nailed the gluten free pizza!! I have tried numerous others, but in most cases I would rather eat the box! They are invariably dry, chewy, tasteless, hard and TINY!! The Pizza Hut base is light, tasty, thin and reminiscent of the Italian base which has always been my favourite! It is also a good size, and for once, I didn't feel compromised by my food intolerances! Thank you! Only not giving five stars, as £46 for a GF pizza, a buffet deal, and two drinks is horribly spendy!
We as a family get our fish and chips on a Monday as it's GLUTEN FREE MONDAY! I opt for the Cod and it is delicious. The Gluten Free Batter is perfect. Whatever you have from this fish and chip shop, you won't be disappointed. It has won awards and rightly so. Pure dedication to their customers. I highly recommend this eatery. The Owner Rav is so friendly and goes out of his way to make sure you get what you want...a really friendly man who values his customers and respects deeply 😁
My new favourite find! I’ve been looking for a gluten-free Chinese food option since having to go GF in 2021 and I’ve finally found one close to home! I always order chicken fried rice and plain chow mein (both GF!) and the staff are always so understanding and accommodating! As far as I am aware there is not cross-contamination as I have not yet had a reaction and have ordered from them more than 4 times at least!
Update: I recently visited the restaurant for an “eat-in” meal and everyone was so lovely and helpful when it came to gluten-free options! The food was so fresh and delicious - easily the best meal out in the UK I’ve had gluten-free so far! 🥰
One of the best burgers I've ever had. Absolutely delicious. I had the gluten free bun, vegan cheese, pickle, salad, coleslaw. Mate, it was on point!!!
Had an amazing finish-off-last-prep-meal for 20 from these guys for a big family get together. All I had to do was heat and assemble really, but every last detail was supplied with simple clear instructions, like cut herbs and salad dressings, homemade foccacia and soft-boiled eggs to top the kedgeree. Had to accommodate gluten-free and veggie preferences but that didn’t stop it from being a real banquet. Everyone was blown away by the flavours and I nearly took the credit!
A very pleasant experience. We were staying in a nearby Travel Lodge overnight yesterday, so we ordered our takeaway food on the phone, the lady we spoke to was really friendly and helpful and everything was ready when we arrived 15mins later.
I have a gluten intolerance so I sometimes struggle to find a chippy that caters for me, but I ordered gluten free scampi, chips and curry sauce...such a treat, delicious! 😋
Hubby had a non gluten free supper of battered burger and chips and said the burger was great quality. (He is quite fussy about his burgers).
We will definitely be returning.
Professional, prompt service. Didn't have to wait long for food. Food was great, decent substantial size too. A whole gluten free menu whereby the manager takes that order and oversees the preparation to ensure safety. Really pleased with the experience 👍🏻
Never as a paying customer have I ever been spoken to in such a manner as Shane the restaurant manager did towards me this evening, on the evening of a birthday dinner for my partner!
We called him over to try to be helpful to advise him that our waitress should be advising people if something on the menu changes due to my gluten intolerance. We were told by her that the majority of the menu was already gluten free.
Therefore, to receive skinny fries when I specifically ordered the haddock because I wanted chunky chips without any warning prior seemed to me something the manager should be aware of, so that he could raise it with your waiting staff.
I can not believe how defensive Shane immediately became and not even an apology! He was not only defensive, but attacked me by stating that he thought I was “rather angry over some chips”! It was his attitude with no apology that got my back up, but then his defensiveness and him then telling me in a condescending manner “to not let it spoil my evening, it’s just chips” was just insulting. He kept going on and on, repeating the same defensive stuff, even though I just kept saying okay, okay several times in the hope he would just go away & eventually had to ask him to go. It was clear he was looking to antagonise me! With any customer complaint, an apology should immediately follow, especially when a mistake has be made by the staff! Rude does not describe how this manager conducted himself!
The food: it was ok, not 4 or 5 stars as the haddock was a small portion but tasted very fresh. The chunky chips looked better than they tasted. The desserts were okay but overall the food was not outstanding and we wouldn’t rush back even if you did take Shane out of the equation! I did appreciate the chef providing the white chocolate writing on the plate wishing my partner a HB but it didn’t change the upset caused. We had no drinks so total spent £72.
This experience with Shane’s approach and attitude completely spoiled not only our dinner but the entire evening for us! Had we had more time, as we were going to the theatre, I would’ve left there and then.
An email to higher management after stating that she was shocked to receive a complaint about Shane, who had been a valued member of their team the past 15 years, and concluded with the following: ‘We always strive to give the best customer service and hope in the future you will return to experience our usual high standards. I would be more than happy to assist with this reservation and include a gesture of goodwill.’
If the gesture of goodwill is on par with what she referred to in her reply as my partner receiving a “birthday dessert”, (which was a plate with white chocolate writing on it and 2 tiny miniature meringues with a single strawberry) then even if they offered dark chocolate on a plate saying ‘Sorry’, I don’t think I will be making a special trip from London to find out.
Suggested by Google Guide, A Coffee shop that serves a variety of food ranging from a full english breakfast to a couscous salad.
The cooked Breakfast are all locally sourced produce and the flavours are amazing.
Fishface, under new management have turned the shop around to give the shop a 2nd chance of success.
Customer service focused, the food here is also delicious.
Cakes are gluten free & Home-made.
The atmosphere was quirky with easy liatening music played in the background.
Defiantly a 10 out of 10.
Incredible place! Service was faultless, food was out of this world - best steak we've ever had (and we've had a lot!) So good, we've booked to come back in 2 weeks. Catered for gluten-free and dairy-free without hesitation, including starters, mains, desserts and drinks. Highly recommend.
Came here with a few friends for the first time and we were certainly not disappointed! One of my friends is coeliac and as soon as we were seated we were asked about allergies and handed a vast gluten free menu which was great! She also said that her gluten free pizza was the best she had ever had.
The staff were all so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. So in my mind it was exquisite customer service.
The food was delicious and the variety of pizzas was next to none. As a vegetarian I was also impressed with the variety of vegetarian pizzas and kudos to the staff who made it their duty to make sure I was offered veggie options regularly.
We will most definitely be coming back.
The service is good here and they manage the food well when serving us as we have allergies. I personally can have Gluten or Dairy and I still manage to have at least 3 options for subs.
We ate here while visiting friends in the atea. Had a lovely meal 2 course from the set menu. I needed gluten and lactose free. They were happy to adapt for me and even provided a gluten free roll. 5 of us had meals and we all thoroughly enjoyed everything we had. I would definitely recommend eating here.
Have previously been to Mariners and it was an amazing experience. They catered well for gluten free (Coeliac Disease). Now, much to my great sadness, I also have a dairy allergy (actually quite common in those with Coeliac Disease), and they struggled to cater for both gluten and dairy-free sadly. The set menu there was one option for starter, one for the main and none of the desserts - it had to be sourced from their Bistro across the road. Food is delicious, and amazingly presented and staff are courteous and helpful. Just not great at catering for all dietary requirements. Please do better - this isn't a choice and I'm still a foodie and like to enjoy good food!
I came here a few weeks ago with my work team. I had the swordfish, it was amazing! Lots of choice on the menu. Cater well for those who are gluten free/vegan as well! Those who are driving will need to pay to park in the car park across the road.
