Dining at the Front and Main was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I was so, so disappointed in our dining experience.
THE ATOMOSPHERE: I made reservations a week in advance for Sunday brunch for a party of six. Upon arriving, they were going to seat us at a table in the middle of the restaurant close to the front door. Because my husband is hard of hearing, we asked if we could have a seat that was not as noisy in another area of the restaurant. We were happy that they were willing to accommodate us until we saw that they had prepared a table for us in the middle of the hotel lobby between the hotel front desk and the main entrance to the hotel. The main entrance had an automatic door that opened and closed every time someone walked by. Every few seconds throughout our entire meal, we had to listen to the door open and close. This was by far worse than the original location they were going to seat us. I am still flabbergasted that they sat us in the middle of the lobby like they did. I would have asked to go back to the original location, but we were with other people and I did not want to be asked to be moved a second time.
THE FOOD: The food was horrible! Not only were the fried eggs in the Lockwood overcooked, they were greasy! The eggs in the eggs Benedict were also overcooked. The food was cold! The quality and portions of the meals was not worth the price paid.
THE SERVICE: The service was also not good! We were sat in the middle of the hotel lobby and then pretty much ignored. At one point to get a refill of coffee, I took it from the coffee station set up for hotel guests. The server was also not knowledgeable on what gluten free options there were on the menu.
I will absolutely not be returning to Front and Main. I am surprised that this restaurant has gotten the rave reviews it has because nothing about this restaurant was good.

What an exquisite slice of space in Waterville with the most delicious pizza in Maine! From wood fired oven, great crust, delicious sauce and all the toppings it's a clear winner. I'm vegan and delighted to report they can accommodate with vegan cheese. Of course they have that ooey gooey delicious dairy cheese as well. They have gluten free options. The vibe is off the beaten path and I found it completely inviting, warm and friendly. I've wanted to go for a few years when I housesit in the area but due to COVID they had take out only after 5 p.m.for a while. I'm not one to venture out too much after dark in the winter so was delighted to find they have dine in back. They still offer take out after 5 p.m. on certain days. I will frequent Grand Central Cafe and am telling my friends about this great find. The atmosphere just adds to their delicious pizza.
Creative cocktails, tasty vegan dishes, and beautifully presented plates make this spot a must-visit for food lovers looking for something unique.

The food here was excellent! Fabulous grilled eggplant, scallops, dolmas, etc. Menu options are marked vegetarian, vegan and gluten free with many gluten free items to choose from. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and all the staff made us feel welcome. We were thrilled with our experience at Opa.
This is our third time. Food is yummy and staff is friendly. Found out all dishes (not the bread) are gluten free. I always have leftovers because the portions are huge. Will be back!!
An ideal last-minute spot that stands out for its unique availability and tasty options in the area.

There were five of us in our family visiting Ruby Tuesday’s on Mother’s Day. I wish I could remember our servers name, But we sat at one of the high tops. I was server was very knowledgeable about the menu. When we asked about gluten-free options, she immediately retrieved the special menus book. We had two people in our party that are celiac. The food was absolutely delicious, it came out hot and very fresh. Our server checked on us. It seemed perfectly as we needed things. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and of course will return.
A must-visit gem known for its delicious subs and inviting aroma, with standout flavors that make you want to return.

Not very many places have good gluten free bread. My girlfriend said it was the best gluten free sub she's ever had. We both got the signature Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket (mine on white bread) and I thought the brisket was very tender sliced very thin with cheddar and there bbq sauce, also i felt like all the flavors went very well together. When i first walked in it smelt detectable to the point where i knew even for the first time going that i wasnt going to regret ordering there. Everyone was very friendly and greated me after walking in. They were doing great for orders coming in there apps and with orders walking in. Will definitely be going there again. I also highly recommend stopping in if your by the Waterville Walmart.

I always enjoy eating here and have brought many friends who have never even eaten Thai food before and walked away impressed and wanting to return. Everything is made fresh so you might have to wait for your meal, but it's well worth it. I've been going here for years now and I've never had a bad meal or bad wait staff. One of them even covered my bill once when I misplaced my debit card. They even have some fun American takes on Thai food. And lots of gluten-free options, as well as dairy free and meat-free :-)
A hidden gem in Maine with thoughtful menu options and perfect portions makes it a delightful find for pastry lovers!

It was such a surprise to find this place! We’ve been looking for a good croissant everywhere in Maine and this seemed like the only place we found it! They have a very thoughtful menu that even includes vegan gluten free options! The portions were the perfect size too!
I like that this location has gluten free bread! It's also convenient so if I'm grocery shopping at Hannaford and need dinner or lunch ideas I can just go next door. The people working there are hit or miss.
