Over 3 days in St Louis, I ate at: * Salt + Smoke (Delmar Blvd) * Pappy’s Smokehouse * Sugarfire Smokehouse S+S had the best brisket of the 3. I liked the deviled eggs. They knew what items were gluten free gf. Ribs were good. Liked the sauce.

The food was good. Portions are big. They have gluten-free buns for burgers and bake the gf fries separately (although my wife said the regular fries were better). Of course the main draw is the root beer. Many different options so likely can't go wrong. They also have several amazing super floats. It was my son's birthday, so he got the Birthday Cake one. The location is great with views of the bottling plant inside and the walk of fame stars outside. But what put this visit over the top was the service we received from Eddie. If they have a better employee, this place is blessed. He was excellent in every way. Personable, attentive and helpful. He went over and above anything expected.
