This place was an Easter Dream come true. My friends and I missed our ferry while hiking, we were wet, cold and hungry. We found Island Pie for a bite while we waited for the last ferry out. What a wonderful experience it was! The place felt cozy and familiar, family owned and it felt that way. There was a child there riding a tricycle around the restaurant having the time of his life, and while this isn’t ideal for some, we found him very funny, and the overall experience extremely charming. The food was DELICIOUS. We had the gluten free crust and it was in the top 3 best crusts I’ve ever had, not to mention the toppings! We had such a memorable time here, we would definitely recommend it to our friends, and we will be visiting again!
A must-visit for food lovers, showcasing creatively crafted dishes with locally-sourced ingredients and an unforgettable dining experience!

This was our first visit to the islands / Orcas and a Google search recommended this place. We made early reservations to get in and so happy we got to experience one of the best meals we’ve ever had - ever, not just on the islands. This is a “foodie” place for sure where the menu reads with creative complexity (my boyfriend fully admitted to our sever that we didn’t know what the menu was offering) but the words leave the menu with poetic presentation within each bite. I had the black cod / literally the best seafood dish I’ve had. They were also very kind and helpful with customizing the menu to my gluten food allergies which is always appreciated. I especially appreciated the locally-sourced ingredients.
A cozy spot on Orcas Island with a fun chef's display, offering an outstanding menu and a commitment to local ingredients.

I did enjoy our dinner here but was a tad let down by the flavors. The staff was super friendly and the environment was cozy (could have been a little warmer but I get cold easily). It's super fun to watch the chefs prepare and cook everything. The pizza was fine, dough was tasty but lacking in flavor, could have been crispier as well. Wasn't wowed by the toppings either. Some of the other dishes we got were scallops (sauce was the best part, scallops were fresh but not seasoned enough) & mushrooms (good, probably my favorite dish, the broth was very yummy & complex). The dessert was this apple caramel with a brown butter ice cream - caramel was delicious, made me feel like I was eating a candy apple but a bit too hard. The ice cream just tasted like sweet cream to me, didn't get the brown butter but the texture was on point.
I would go back if I felt like a fancier dinner when visiting Orcas Island, there were a few other dishes on the menu I would have tried. It's always great when restaurants use all local ingredients and support the local markets, I love to try and support that if i'm able to,
Oh - and my wife got a gluten free pizza, she said the crust was amazing (for GF lol)
Nestled just a short stroll from the marina, this hidden gem offers a stunning atmosphere and quick service that keeps visitors returning.

A mere .6 mi gentle walk up from the Deer Harbor Marina, we found this GEM!! Prompt service. Picturesque setting. AMAZING food!! Oh, BTW, their sauce is gluten free! It is well worth the short trek to get here. I will certainly come again.
Awesome lunch food with veggie and gluten-free options. The ambiance really fit our personas. Walking through their mysterious door felt like stepping into a room of velvet

An absolute must if you’re looking for a hearty breakfast sandwich and coffee to start your day. The food is fresh and very tasty. Good gluten free bread substitutes on their breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Can’t recommend enough. Their Olga Rising biscuit breakfast sandwich is easily in the top three breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had.

Best view for coffee on the island. I arrive early to the ferry so I can grab a cup of coffee and some food. It overlooks the ferry dock so you can see your ferry coming in from a relaxing, historic venue. Great front porch for the warmer months. New owners have really upgraded the menu and quality of baked goods. We had a gluten free torte that was delicious.
