The best meal I’ve had so far on my vacation! I got the gluten free chips and queso and gluten free quesadilla, my first time having a quesadilla in forever and it did not disappoint. I didn’t have a reservation but for just me I was able to be seated right away and service was fast and attentive.
The gluten-free option was nice. However, this place is extremely expensive for food that was not even that good. After a long day on the beach and being pregnant, the food definitely changed the outcome of my visit.
I only came to this place because the one I wanted to eat at was no longer in business.

Genuinely excellent modern Mexican food with some original twists to classic favorites. Fresh guacamole, proper salsa made with fire-roasted vegetables, and chips not just salted but actually spiced with a bit of smoked paprika and chili-lime, and arrived hot and fresh. All the entrée items my group had were top notch, and they were very accommodating in dividing the check among 5 people. Friendly and professional staff.
Menu has clear lables denoting items that are vegetarian, contain allergens like gluten or dairy, and where they can perform substitutions. Portions are just right, not too big nor too small.

The family owned Mariachis has been a staple in Rehoboth since 2006 and has proven it's spot with their friendly service and multiple chilli contest wins (taking the recent victory in 2025). I had a fantastic experience at Plaza Mexico Restaurant! I called about an hour and a half before closing with a party of 12, and they had no trouble accommodating us. The staff was exceptionally accommodating regarding my children's gluten allergy, and the food was hot, fresh, and authentic. Our waiter was incredibly helpful, ensuring everything was perfect and checking items for us. The drinks were cold and generously poured. To top it off, they made my birthday special by singing "Happy Birthday" at my friend’s request. I highly recommend Plaza Mexico Restaurant and look forward to returning on our next vacation!

I came with my kids for dinner, and we loved the food. I had Tortellini with Shrimp, and it was delicious. My daughter had a personal pepperoni pizza, which she ate it all. I tried the pizza crust and it was very good. My son is gluten free, so they were so accommodating to cook something gluten free for him. Overall the service was awesome. We’re definitely coming back for more food as the menu is huge, and I’d like to try other Mexican plates they offer. 5 stars all the way.
If you need cute painted tables and fancy frozen drinks, this is not the place for you. But if you need solid tacos, huaraches, enchiladas, or good tamale with three kinds of sauce on the table, this place is for you. I call it the hole in the wall, but it has stayed in my rotation for years. Good service. Vegetarians and the gluten free accommodating.
Tacos were really good, though they were a little on the pricey side. There are Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten Free items available here. The "Green Crack" sauce is what sets these Tacos apart from other street food tacos; it's really tasty. Aside from soft tacos there are quessedillas and salsas available.
The staff served us immediately when we walked in. I had no idea what I wanted to eat but I was excited there were many gluten free options. Brianna served me and was very patient and helpful with me making choices that suited my palate perfectly! I will definitely return.

I have been going to this this restaurant for a few years and it’s been nothing but exceptional. The food is great as well as the service. They are very fast even when it’s busy. I highly recommend the queso and tacos. As someone with celiac I would also like to mention how good they are with gluten free food. Their homemade chips are gluten-free and I assume they are great with preventing cross contamination since I haven’t gotten sick from them yet.
Fantastic friendly staff, always up beat. Food and pricing is very good. Be aware this is a college bar/restaurant so if you're looking for quiet, this won't be the place to go. ALLERGEN FRIENDLY! We have celiacs and we have never had a cross contamination problem. Great place, great staff, great overall!
