Came for my birthday dinner and the food was great! Also Ceci was an amazing server! Definitely my go to place in Gainesville for Mexican food. I have a gluten allergy and have never had an issue here!
A Gainesville gem with a vibrant atmosphere, offering a diverse menu and killer cocktails that keep folks coming back.

Food was ok. Service was terrible. Server not knowledgeable about allergies or even what certain items where. Food took either forever to come out or not at all. Ordered grilled tilapia; it came out breaded which not edible for someone with gluten allergy.
Enjoy a vibrant outdoor atmosphere with tasty snacks and refreshing drinks while soaking up live music at the nearby plaza.

This place is an incredible find! Delicious snacks and bowls to eat on the patio or take to go. The bar serves great drinks as well, which is perfect for enjoying music at the Bo Diddley Plaza. They even had a gluten free, vegan, and soy free option!
Really good portion sizes for the price. After the UF vs Miami game we had no trouble getting a table for 6. TONs of vegetarian/vegan options and gluten-free (corn tortillas)
This is a great spot. The food was delicious with a lot of options (including plenty of gluten free choices). The hot sauce they have is great and extra spicy. The queso is delicious. The staff was kind and super helpful with all of our questions. The inside is really well decorated and comfortable and there is a huge outdoor area with picnic tables and some playground sets. Perfect for kids and families!
Quick takeout during Hurricane Debby, solid flavors, but watch out for the tiny sauce portions and potential order mix-ups.

Ordered take out during Hurricane Debby, I got chips and salsa, a kids cheese only quesadilla, side of queso, and chicken nachos. I ordered my nachos with just shredded chicken and cheese. My order was ready very quickly in 10 mins. When I got home the nachos were covered in jalapeños and sour cream. I picked all the jalapeños off (there were so many 20+) and scraped as much sour cream off as I could. The nachos were still very good. I will say the sides of queso and the salsa were such tiny little containers. I paid $34 so I thought they would be a tad larger. All of the food was very good. But because they messed up my order and the tiny sauces I only gave 4 stars. I’m assuming if I would have dinned in I wouldn’t have had those issues. I was very happy this restaurant was open when so many places in the city weren’t. I do have a gluten allergy and the nachos didn’t make me sick, so that’s a definite win! I would absolutely dine here again.
Always fresh-fast-real and AFFORDABLE Mexican food! Whether your gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan or a meat-eater they have something for everyone! GREAT Services and Friendly staff at El Indio!
