Amazing mexi food! The tacos were awesome and basically everything on the menu (besides dessert) is gluten free. We got a bunch of tacos to try and the guac, which was so flavorful and a decent portion size. Pork belly taco was the best imo, also so fun to try the fried fish (I was told it’s fried in rice flour/batter). Watermelon marg was delicious. They have outdoor seating, but it’s not the nicest views (street/parking lot) and indoors is a nice atmosphere, so I’d recommend going inside
Experience incredible 100% gluten-free Mexican street food with large portions and quick service that’ll keep you coming back for more!

If you're looking for flavorful food and healthy options, give this place a try! Delicious! Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available too. You'll need more than one taco to fill you up. Yummy food so worth it!
Vibrant atmosphere with a young crowd, lively music, and top-notch tacos and margs make for a fun dining experience.

This place is so cool! Great vibes, friendly and quick servers plus the food is fantastic. All of the gluten free options are delicious, especially the churros. It was really fun to be able to eat tacos and oysters at the same time.
Known for its amazing taco offerings and quick service, this spot ensures a great experience with a variety of options for all.

Gluten-free Churros- I rated this place 2 stars for the fact that they actually sell Gluten-free churros (thankful) but as far as the quality of it I rate it a 1.
The churros were super dense. Almost like biting into a piece of bread with no salt or moisture with a tiny dusting of sugar and cinnamon. The churros with the sauce didn't help much. Chocolate too over powering and the other tasted more like a peanut butter sauce that tried to imitate its actual flavor.
Again I'm thankful for the fact that they even sell these however I will not be back to purchase as it was not worth it.
Side note they do sell a small and large. This was a small for about 8 dollars and the large is 14.
This vibrant spot offers a variety of fresh, high-quality Mexican dishes perfect for all diets, though be prepared for higher prices and parking challenges.

Summer was amazing! She helped me with my food choices and reassured that I could eat safely since I am celiac. Summer is giving a great attitude and great positive vibe!!

BEST place to get Mexican food near Newbury. The staff and employees are so nice and accommodating. I asked the owner if their tortillas are gluten free and he went into the back to check the ingredient list and everything. They weren't but they offer a bowl option and the owner told the employee serving me to offer me a discount because of the inconvenience. Also prices are CHEAP. $9 dollars for a whole burrito. This is the place to go.
Enjoy great vibes with excellent prices and a fun atmosphere, perfect for a casual hangout with flavorful options for everyone.

Victor was an amazing server. I have a gluten allergy and he confirmed everything I requested was actually gluten free. The food was incredible, especially the duck carnitas tamales were amazing. My boyfriend raved about the wings. The tortillas used in the tacos were superb and the passion fruit margarita was fantastic. The restaurant was beautiful, inside and out.
Experience vibrant decor and an energetic atmosphere, perfect for indulging in extraordinary flavors with friends.

The service was absolute trash. My friend with a gluten allergy was given gluten. Food came out at different times, awful service, iffy food. Overpriced.
Burritos and tacos are crowd favorites here, with generous portions that might be tricky to eat on the go among Boston's bustling streets.

Is it the best Mexican place in Boston? Very likely but I have no proof. What I have a proof of is thousands of burritos and tacos eaten here over years. I was never disappointed if only in myself for overeating.
I find fish tacos and burritos the best.
The staff is accommodating to reasonable requests (gluten free, etc) but don't expect a bespoke cooking. Yes burritos are overflowing and not convenient to eat on public transit (which by the way you shouldn't do anyway) but you can always get a burrito bowl.
Parking can be a challenge if parallel parking is a challenge for you, but if one is willing to walk there are more spots further along Comm Ave.
I went out to eat with some family members to Temazcal during my visit to Boston. I had the gluten free version of the grilled salmon tacos. It was absolutely delicious! We went at night on a rainy evening so unfortunately we did not get to enjoy the beautiful ocean views. However the delicious meal made up for the lack of views.
A bustling spot with a fun vibe and a solid drink menu, it's perfect for casual hangouts, though street parking can be tricky.

This place is my favorite! I have been a regular diner for 10 years. Food always comes out quickly. Fun casual environment AND you won't get barraged with TVs like most bars. It can get crowded and a bit nosiy because seating is limited, but they run a pretty tight ship. I often get take out from the Cambridge location instead. Street parking in this area can be hit or miss, so be patient if you're going by car during peak hours. I have tried most of the regular menu over the years, but never tried their brunch. Most of their offerings that aren't breakfast are gluten free. I recommend the avocado griddled queso taco. Never had an unpleasant cocktail here, but could be argued they have one of the best house margaritas around. Get the mug size, you'll want it.

Really great experience at Yellow Door Taqueria, conveniently by the Ink Block development. They have lots of outdoor tables, bookable on OpenTable, including some under the overhang (for minor drizzle protection) but still fully open-air.
Food was delicious and fairly priced, and service was excellent. I listed out all my food allergies and Raffy handled me with aplomb – making me confident in and happy with all the food I got! There's a dedicated gluten-free frier for the chips but it does have seafood cooked in it, so they were kind enough to bring me some cute sliced corn tortillas to have with their delicious house-made guacamole for an appetizer.
I can highly recommend the birria tacos (pan-fried and cheesy with excellent barbacoa) and chicken tinga taco (delicious on the plain, house-made corn tortilla). Rice and beans were ok – beans dramatically lardy and rice a little mushy, but ok. The kitchen was thoughtful enough to sub the 'avocado frito' on the chicken tinga for some plain avocado for me.
Overall, an excellent experience for delicious tacos, with great outdoor dining and good care for my dietary restrictions.
$60 subtotal for a party of two with chips and guacamole and 2-3 hearty tacos and sides but no drinks; more like $90 for two with drinks.
Romano's is hands down the best Mexican food I've ever had. I've had the burrito (back before I went GF), nachos and various Mexican dinners and you honestly cannot go wrong. I have a gluten allergy and I've never gotten sick from their food. The service is great, whether you get delivery or order in house. I saw a review that said the wait time was long but I've never waited long for food in the 4 years I've been going here. Best guacamole, refried beans and rice I've ever had, and the carnitas Mexican dinner is to die for.

Sweet lil' gem in JP. Clean, reasonably priced and family-owned. Friendly vibe with gluten free and veggie options. Will definitely be back. Really enjoyed the authentic chips and Pico and Nachos. Portions were big! Everything was delicious. Vamos a regresar.
*Edited! I was searching for Villa Mexico last night to show a friend the website on my phone and I showed him the reviews. It is honestly SO annoying that there are vegetarians whining about the food. Hey dude complaining about there not being veggie tacos, did you buy food? GOOD! Then you ate something vegetarian! Read menus and don't expect every restaurant to cater to YOU brats. Plus, If you are like some people I've encountered at lunch time asking 1000 questions and not caring that there's a line of 20 behind you also waiting to buy lunch- then you deserve being told off man. Get over yourself. The rest of us have to eat as well. I swear that's why people get so annoyed with vegans and vegetarians and gluten-free and allergic to water people. Eat at home and spare us your whining.
Ok, now my review of this AWESOME place I will continue eating at, almost every day to be honest, is here:
This is the most authentic, and perhaps even healthiest, Mexican food option in downtown Boston if not the whole city. The burritos are amazing, everything tastes fresh and homemade, and the place has a great atmosphere. I've seen the crew and owners laughing, arguing, talking about news, overall enjoying their "100th customer" with cheers, you can tell these people love to make and sell delicious food.

Staying overnight near Logan for a very early flight, and we were looking for a place to eat. I am super picky. I look for gluten and dairy free, but my husband has no restrictions. This can make it tricky.
It took some work, but we are very glad we ventured out to Mi Pueblito Orient Heights. I selected the seafood soup. It was delicious. My husband had the steak and shrimp.
We both had margaritas. I had the spicy margarita. My husband went with the frozen mango. Again, both were great.
The restaurant is on a corner lot with street parking. I saw outside seating, but it didn’t look like there was much of a view.
The inside made great use of the space. The atmosphere was casual, comfortable, and clean.
Service was wonderful. Plus they still offer mints at the end of your meal! We will definitely come back.
