We ordered takeaway: a pizza Napoletana, a gluten-free pizza, a spaghetti Bolognese, and a Greek salad. The restaurant's location is really nice—probably explains the rather high prices.
What surprised us, however, was that the regular pizza was quite small for the price. We were also surprised by the €2 surcharge for the gluten-free pizza, even though we were told it was just a "Schär base"—why this cost extra remains unclear to us, especially since they only used the standard ingredients.
The food tasted okay, but the spaghetti Bolognese in particular could have used a bit more seasoning or refinement. In total, we paid almost €70 for two pizzas, a pasta dish, and a salad—which we found quite steep.

When serving, 1 of the 2 dishes turned out to be questionable, so we asked another waitress whether this was definitely safe. When we wanted to order an extra dish so that the person with the allergy could definitely eat something, this was not possible because the kitchen closed at 4 p.m. It was exactly 4pm at that time, apparently a small effort to make up for the waitress's blunder was not possible?! In short, it is a cozy terrace, but if you want to eat safely with certain allergies, I would absolutely advise against it.

Had a super tasty company BBQ here, clear signs for diets (vegetarian, lactose-free, gluten-free). Now a BBQ/buffet is always difficult with cross-contamination but that everything is labeled was super nice. Even options at the dessert buffet (sorbet ice cream, fruit and brownie).

We popped into Marcus to get out of the rain and are so glad we did! My daughter saw the swinging chairs through the window and thought it must be a cool place. We ordered a Golden Milk Latte with almond milk (they also had oat and one other plant-based milk) and a Hot Chocolate with whipped cream. We sat in the window with a beautiful view of the plaza. The owner came over to chat with us, learned we have been traveling for 3 weeks from the USA, and brought us pie. We explained that we are gluten free. He said his parents are originally from Morocco so they try to use no wheat and very, very little sugar, which is perfect for us. They make the pies fresh every morning. Marcus was hip and used healthy ingredients. We felt extremely welcome there. It would definitely become our neighborhood haunt if we lived in Vlissingen.
