Food is super tasty, avg priced for London. Mocktails were really delicious as well! The restaurant is quite small though, so hard to keep your convos to yourself but otherwise a great experience. Lots of gluten free options + GF bread available as well

Princess Diana's favourite restaurant for a reason. Amazing food, super generous portions. Loads of glutenfree options. Great price. Service is always a bit rude especially during busy hours, but we've been back a lot, so it doesn't affect the experience much, would give it a strong 5 star if it wasn't for the nonchalant waiters.

Best place when you don't know where to go. They always have space, so if you're a group of 10 and need to find a nice restaurant that everyone will like without a reservation then this is your place. Loads of glutenfree and vegan/vegetarian options, and something for everyone. Been there 8+ times, never been disappointed. Great price too, for great portuons and options.

Vietnamese restaurant recommended by Michelin Almost all the shop assistants can speak Chinese I saw a Chinese coming in to dine, and he enthusiastically introduced the dishes in Chinese. After the clerk knew that the two of them didn’t have much to eat, He offered to order a bowl of pho and other side dishes. very considerate Vietnamese Beef Sam Po Pho ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The soup base is made from beef bones cooked for 16 hours and chicken stock. There are raw beef, cooked beef and beef balls. Raw beef is never too old Both cooked beef and beef balls have a little gluten. You can add soup once 👑Roast chicken wings with foie gras⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The perfect combination of foie gras and chicken wings I don’t know who invented this dish. Haven't seen it elsewhere Be sure to order some when you come 20-head shrimp Vietnamese crystal roll⭐️⭐️⭐️ Personally, I think it’s just average, not particularly delicious. Lemon grass wacker ⭐️⭐️ Tastes good It's a pity that after finishing the drink, there was still half a bowl of ice left. The kiwi fruit underneath doesn’t suck well. Not good value for money. You can order something else.

Awesome food and great atmosphere… and our server Daniel was superb ! They were also really helpful with a dairy and a gluten allergy - and they said it was some of the best food they had in London ! Definitely recommended - go, you won’t regret it !

Our first dinner experience at the Light of India was nothing short of exceptional. As a group, we had the opportunity to sample a diverse array of dishes from menus A, B, and C. Each selection showcased the restaurant’s dedication to authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. The dishes were absolutely tasty and delicious, bursting with rich spices and vibrant flavors that transported us straight to the heart of India. Moreover, the Light of India goes above and beyond to accommodate dietary restrictions, offering a variety of gluten-free options and ensuring nut allergies are carefully catered to. This attention to detail and commitment to inclusivity truly set them apart. From the warm, welcoming ambiance to the attentive service, our dining experience was memorable and enjoyable. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their delectable offerings.

They have delicious gluten free pasta. I love their crab tagliatelle and mushroom one. It is soooo good. I also enjoyed the chocolate cake. Amazing! This is my favorite Italian restaurant.

After trying disappointing breakfast places in the surrounding area (Farm Girl comes to mind) none of which took cash, opted to have breakfast at The Ampersand hotel's restaurant because it did take cash (what a novelty) and i did not have to go out in the cold lookind for a subpar experience. The positive experience has changed my #1 rule of not eating at the same place I am staying in. Cozy atmosphere, with great offerings that covered the gamut, including gluten free. The Scottish salmon with scrambled eggs was outstanding, as were the homemade ricotta pancakes covered with berries, and the granola with same ( bear in mind I did not have all on the same day!). The service was uneven as the staff changed frequently all with different levels of training. After coming in for four days in a row by myself,I was only acknowledged by the bartender who remembered what kind of tea I liked. The servers looked at me like they had never seen me before. I came back two days after checking out, with a friend newly arrived and after asking if we could sit in their small private nook, the same server I had had two days before answered curtly that we could but, we would be asked to move if a larger contingent arrived (it was already 9:30 am, the place was almost empty and the nook would have bursted if a party of four had been ushered in). Not the most cordial welcome for anyone That cold kurffufle aside, I enjoyed everything I tried from their menu.

We love steak and thought it would be a treat at this restaurant chain. However lots of negatives - very noisy atmosphere with overwhelming smoke and smell of steak cooking. Service was slow and not many gluten free choices apart from the steaks. I had a prawn starter with 3 prawns then about 15 mins later the same starter was brought to me again! We weren’t offered water and the steak was nothing special. The chips were very salty and despite not having dessert the bill came to £178 including a 12.5% service charge which was not expected. . Very disappointing as the marketing looks swanky and good .
