Incredible gluten-free meals at a dog-friendly restaurant, THANK YOU Hula!
Choose the Ahi Poki bowl or the Wild Mushroom bowl if you are looking for a healthy meal. Both entrees were amazing.
Our Poki was a more traditional Japanese flavor and the Mushroom curry was almost a sliver green Thai curry style.
If your pup is with you they have outdoor seating off the walking path for your dog to relax.
This spot is a locals' favorite for its tasty pizza and Italian dishes, plus a full bar and free parking just a stroll from downtown.

This seems to be a locals favorite that we happened to find. But we were not disappointed! The food was very good, even offered gluten free pizza crust and gluten free spaghetti options. Also has a full bar if you want a drink.
A cozy spot with a welcoming vibe, perfect for a delightful experience and standout dishes like shepherd's pie and tasty treats.

Every time I have eaten here it has been a great experience. The stuff is wonderful and friendly. Didn't have to long for anything. They care for you. The food is so good. I specially loved their shepherd's Pie , curry fries and Sticky Toffee Pudding. They also have a excellent gluten free menu.
With a funky vibe featuring 60's albums and live music, this spot offers huge portions and a unique atmosphere that's perfect for casual hangouts.

What a gluten free find. The waitress/cook/?owner knows gluten free and we had a delicious meal. I had their homemade smoked turkey lentil soup. My boyfriend had their smoked Tri-tip with grilled veggies and finished with bananas foster. So delicious that I ate to much. Love the unique funky atmosphere of 60’s albums on the wall. I would love to attend when they have live music but alas we are only here for a couple of days. However will return tomorrow for some of the other gluten free items on their menu like borscht.
Packed with flavor and generous portions, this spot is perfect for a quick, satisfying meal on the go!

Great portions and tasty bowls! 🍲 We grabbed lunch to go on the way out of town and gobbled it up! Recommend the California Bowl or the Ahi Da’Kahine Bowl! Perfect for my gluten free, dairy free friends!
With countless topping choices and a reputation for amazing pizzas, this spot is a must-visit for pizza lovers seeking delicious perfection.

Excellent! Chocolate chip cookies are perfect. We had a pepperoni pizza and a gluten free pizza. Both were very good. So many topping options. Definitely recommend!

Not only is this place gorgeous, the waiter Joseph was so kind we came back 2 other times after. Joseph answered all our questions, greeted us with a kind and wonderful attitude, and was all smiles. I can say the service here? Gorgeous. The food here? Delicious. The atmosphere here? Upbeat. The view? Breathtaking. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever! And if you’re #glutenintolerant they’ve got you. The birds are also the entertainers. When you tip, they get part of it too ;)
With stunning views and a perfect setup for gatherings, this spot shines for special occasions and remarkable planning support.

I hosted a birthday lunch for 25 friends on April 30th and Lalla's couldn't have been more perfect. The staff was incredible both in advance planning and on the day. I was so appreciative of Lalla's for helping my friend with Celiac feel comfortable with her dietary needs. The space and views are lovely. Thanks!
Vegan options are clearly marked here, and while the ambiance leans casual, the creative dishes offer a tasty experience worth returning for.

It's always a hopeful sign when vegan (V) and gluten free (GF) are clearly identified. That's the reason I chose Jacks at the Portola Hotel in Old Monterey. There were more than one item I can order. We selected a salad, The Sesame Ginger Bowl without the hoisin sauce, a side of fried tofu for protein, and the Turkey Pot Pie. Both items were delicious. The server forgot about the fried tofu, but when it finally came, it was oil soaked and not very enjoyable. The salad was enjoyable. The Turkey Pot Pie came with a spoon because it was kind of soupy inside, but enough turkey and very delicious. The hotel interior was nicely designed by the ambience at our table was not as nice because it felt like a low end sports bar. If we came back to Monterey or Pacific Grove again, we would definitely dine here.
The location is great and the views of wildlife from the windows was very entertaining. Service was also fantastic.
Food was pretty mediocre and not worth the prices. One of the dishes we ordered was the seafood Alfredo with their gluten free pasta. The gluten free pasta completely broke apart into tiny pieces, which they charged an extra $6 for. The scallops were off—either bad or way overcooked and we didn’t eat any of them. We told the staff, but they didn’t acknowledge it, take anything off our bill or at the least apologize.
We also ordered a cheeseburger for my daughter, who took a few bites and said it wasn’t very good and wouldn’t eat more.
If you are gluten free, I would not eat here despite the gf options. I ordered the gf pasta aglio e olio and my friend ordered the same dish regular (non-gf). My dish came out with about 1/3 to 1/2 the amount of food as hers. When we asked the waiter, he said that the chef does it all by weight and there was no mistake. For $30, it was an absolutely unacceptable amount of food. Even the server acknowledged it was a very small portion but there was nothing he or anyone could do other than for me to order more food at full cost. I make gf pasta at home, and it couldn’t have been more than a third of a box of pasta at most. They don’t upcharge for their gf pasta, but I would much rather a $5 or some upcharge and get a normal amount of food than be told I have to order another $30 dish to get a comparable amount of food as non-gluten free diners.
