Went here for lunch while visiting NYC recently. There were a lot of options for someone vegetarian and gluten free, but even more choice if you can eat gluten. There aren't many/any root vegetables on the menu but what is on the menu is really tasty. I had a brown rice bowl, my friend had the golden beet salad. Both were plenty of food for a lunch. The key lime pie was refreshing. We were able to sit outside, which made for good people watching.
A vibrant spot in NYC with a charming atmosphere and attentive service, perfect for a memorable brunch or a delightful meal out.

This restaurant was just amazing! I have a gluten allergy and unlike most restaurants they actually offer gluten free bread to the table. And the bread is homemade garlic bread. This really was probably the best bread I have ever had. It was restaurant week when we came so I ordered a salad off of the menu and it was great! I really do recommend this place it’s great and they are soooo good with allergies!
I sometimes have to eat gluten free because of my wife. Unfortunately the GF crust just wasn’t that good. Not sure there is GF crust in NY that gets even close to the original crust. I didn’t try the regular pizza but it looked great!
Food is great, portions are big, and they are great with allergies! I have Celiac disease and am incredibly sensitive to gluten and didn't get sick at all when eating here.
The staff shines with exceptional service, and the smoky chicken dish stands out amid a solid meal experience, though the heat could be improved.

The staff is bar the best asset at this establishment. Every single person we dealt with went out of their way to accommodate us and make us happy. Literally every single staff member, they were amazing.
Their toasted chili sauce is divine.
They worked diligently to ensure the member of our party with Celiac disease was offered safe options, and when serving the dishes, they were careful to point out which would be good for them to eat vs. which would not.
The staff was also careful to advise us to mind the little dried red peppers cooked with one of the dishes; I have to assume some people must have had a bad reaction, because the peppers seemed pretty normal as far as hot dried red peppers go. IYKYK.
The food was good, but not make me want to rub it on myself good. It was good, but not amazing.
Perhaps with the exception of the smoked crispy skin chicken situation, which made the meal worthwhile.
All of the dumplings we sampled were very tasty, as was the multi-spice chicken dish we had, though for me, I needed a little salt to really brighten it up.
The reason for the not so great rating regarding atmosphere... We visited in the beginning of July and more robust air conditioning would have made things much more comfortable, and we were not the only group to be off put by the heat and humidity.
Overall, this was a solid experience with marvelous service. I would definitely go back, I just might not go totally out of my way to do it.
Ended up having dinner and Sunday brunch here in one weekend and enjoyed my experience both times. Waiters were well informed and helpful about gluten free options, and service was good. The place gets super crowded so even though it’s large reservations are a must. They just opened a sister restaurant called Asset a few blocks away to handle overflow.
Expect a lively vibe with friendly faces and regular events like trivia, making it a perfect hangout spot for laid-back nights.

We tried the double smash burger and the spicy UWS smashed plant burger. The double smash burger had perfectly balanced flavors. The vegan burger had a good spicy kick to it but the rest wasn’t as appealing. I personally prefer vegan patties made of grains and veges, but this was a soy patty. I should’ve checked beforehand, so that’s on me. The vegan burger bun was also gluten free and extra points for accessibility, but it was kind of a crumbly bun - which might be the norm with gluten free buns. It was definitely a new experience for me. The portion sizes were good and the shoestring fries that came with the plate were decent. I loved the service, just the right amount of attention and care was provided, nothing over the top. Just a person doing their job, and going about their way. The atmosphere was electric because the soccer game was playing. People were cheering simultaneously for team USA (the COPA America match). I knocked off a star simply for the average vegan burger, I wish they would that one a little better. All in all, a solid place to grab a bite on a Sunday evening.
Amazing Reuben sandwich which they were able to make on Gluten Free Bread. Experienced no illness from it. Was an incredible amount of food and was absolutely lovely. Coffee regularly topped up and friendly service. 1 star knocked off because when we went back for pancakes and French toast a day later it wasn't quite the same experience. The pancakes were a bit bland. Would definitely go back for another sandwich though and the omlettes other people had looked amazing.
A cozy spot with a charming vibe, offering unique specials that keep locals and visitors coming back for more!

Salumeria Rosi is our go to place when we come to the City. We love how quaint it is and the food is delicious. Nicole treats us like family. Chef Lorenzo and his kitchen staff are always whipping up new specials. The gluten free pasta is delicious. I recommend the gnocchi and the lasagna. We bring our friends and family with us so they can experience this little treasure on the UWS. Making a reservation beforehand is always a good idea.
