We were on our way back to Melbourne this morning, so looked up "best coffee Hahndorf" and this cafe came up. Everyone was so friendly, they had gluten free bagels and toasties on offer, and our search was right- the coffee was delicious. The toasties were cooked perfectly - not at all oily like some can be, and for any coeliacs out there, the chef came out herself to hand over our sandwiches and assure me that special care had been taken when cooking the GF one. The people are what make this cafe. Extra touches like the little pictures on our coffee lids were so sweet and they were all lovely.

Love coming to dinner at The Haus! The food is amazing, great selection of wines and a great atmosphere! I also love how many coeliac friendly options they have on their menu!

I went to the German Arms Hotel with my family. My little one (and by extension me) has allergies to dairy, soy, egg, gluten, chicken, lentil, lamb and pumpkin. Thankfully the kitchen has a dedicate fryer for gluten free foods and they also use canola oil in it, rather than vegetable oil which could be soy derived. My food was absolutely delicious and I waddled out a happy lady. My husband who is also a vegetarian and gluten free was happy with his meal. Would 100% go back.

OUTSTANDING. We did the chefs menu for 6 people. A stunning meal and all dietary requirements were catered for beautifully. Nobody missed out. Gluten free pita bread was for best us unlucky celiacs have ever had! The hummus and dolmades dish was a real highlight, as was the wagyu beef. Also, the entire table ended up being complete converts to oysters! Never thought I would see the day. Though the place was exceptionally busy the service was exceptional. Staff were fast and efficient without being overbearing. Afterwards we were invited to sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous weather with some more wonderful Sidewood wines. Couldn’t recommend higher. We will be back!

Fantastic authentic Italian food, everything handmade and fresh. Wonderful pasta and wood oven pizza as well as main dishes. Plenty of Gluten free options. The Tiramisu is very yummy. Large servings with an extensive wine list and collector's wines. Wonderful limoncello and Mandarincello especially bottled for them. Will be back soon🥰

Great Spot, food was pricey as you would expect for Hahndorf. To be honest the paella was not the greatest. We tried both the meat and veg options. The waiter was getting rather impatient with us as we had a few questions on Alergies/ Gluten free options.

Amazing food and great service!! We use to eat here 11/12 years ago regularly then moved out of the area. Went back for a special birthday dinner and have fallen in love with the food all over again! Was even more delicious than I remembered and love that as a gluten free vegan there are many options!!

Yes, fantastic food and coffee. Atmosphere 10:10. Best Coffee if Harndorf. Natural cakes and slices all Gluten, Sugar and Dairy Free. Busy place with freindly service. Highly Recommend.

Very cool spot but the staff seemed to struggle a bit with how busy it was on a Friday night. Tacos were delicious but the poor guy working the grill seemed overwhelmed. We had a 45min wait between some of our groups food and a couple of little errors (like spiciness of the sauce). However everything was exceptionally tasty once it arrived. Catered to our gluten free guests too. Can’t argue with the value either, there are few places of this quality serving 3 tacos for $15! We will be back but perhaps wait for them to find their feet on service.

Fantastic food, amazing service, there’s not much to fault here. The staff and kitchen were great about my dietaries (coeliac (gf), dairy intolerance, peanut allergy) and were able to alter the dishes to suit me and went the extra mile by checking back with us about all the substitutions and what we would prefer. I didn’t take a photo of the octopus bruschetta but this was amazing! Especially for those who are gluten free- I have never had gluten free bread this good in my life. Portions were generous, presentation was beautiful and a very cute atmosphere sitting outside. Would love to come back again! Thanks Vine & Essen!
