Excellent cafe - felt very celiac safe. There is a sign by the till saying that they offer celiac food - the kitchen isn't completely gluten free but the staff were confidently able to tell us about the seperate prep areas and fryers. We also spoke to the owner of the cafe, who brought out our food, who confirmed that they had celiacs in their family. Also there was one counter of food on display that was dedicated gluten free, with salads and cakes. The staff on the till confirmed what hot meals were available to celiacs, and the food was good and came out hot. Very good experience overall.

As a person with awkward dietary restrictions due to coeliac disease and disablin allergies, I often end up either not eating at all because I don't feel safe, or chosing pan fried fish and a green salad without dressing while those around me are enjoying feasts. Not so at Raupo, where first the waiter and then the cooks went out of their way to understand my needs and make sure they could adapt the meal I chose to both avoid any undesireable repercussions and also to delight me. I am very grateful. Everything was delicious. The three people with me all raved about their meals, too, and I cannot praise Raupo enough.

I have no words to describe the love I feel for this restaurant. Been gluten free for 32 years, and visited over 15 countries and this has the best gluten free pasta I have ever tried. So good we order some dry pasta to take away. The hamburger with chips of my partner where eye grabbing (and we ended up unwillingly sharing it). The drinks were sweet and delicious, the service was over the top and very welcoming making sure all our needs were meet. I wish I could get a second job to eat there everyday. Just sad I can only put 5 stars but I've put it in all the points. Bravo! See you there very soon!

Highly recommended. We ate here for the second time and were thrilled every time. The food is very tasty and the sauces that are served with it are great. However, you should be careful with the aioli sauce if you don't like garlic There are also gluten-free dishes. The ambience is great and there is music playing too. In the evening it gets a little louder because there is still something on offer here until late at night.

Went to Marlborough Public House with some out of town friends for dinner. One of our friends is gluten intolerant, and there was lots on the menu to select as gluten free. I had the steak, it was cooked to perfection, very delicious. All our meals were served promptly and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, desserts and drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back again. 🙂

Delicious food, excellent service and cheerful staff. It's a little bit noisy at times, but it was busy and not a big place so that's to be expected. While I'm neither vegan or gluten intolerant, I think the separate menus in an different colours is a great idea for people who are.

We stopped here en route to chch and very glad we did! We ordered two pizzas (one gf) and after waiting quite a while, went up to see where they were. They had lost our order but were very accommodating, offering us gluten free options while we wait. Fries were great (not gf), gf brownie is a must and tuscan pizza wad delish! Definitely recommend and will pass by in the future

First visit here today, with a group of girl friends. Great choice of wines, we chose as a group the tasting platter which was super delicious! I'm gluten free and was given my own selection where a dish had gluten. Great service, each dish came out in good time but we weren't rushed at all, despite a busy evening. Staff kept our water glasses topped up which was really appreciated. Delicious food, and something quite different. Definitely be back, thanks for a great evening!

Awesome wee cafe! Very relaxed environment. Perfect to step away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Thai noodle salad is delicious! The option to add chicken on the side is also an added bonus! Also awesome to see so many dairy free and gluten free options available! Amazing work guys!
