One of the best restaurants I’ve been too, the service was on point from the minute we walked through the door, really friendly staff, they also have a great menu with lots of options to choose from wether it be gluten free, vegetarian, or your normal main menu all cooked to your own preference. Highly recommend and worth a visit.
I was so pleased when I got to Tessie’s and noticed there were so many vegan and gluten free options! Food was amazing and the staff were the loveliest ever! Will 100% be back x
My Sisters and I travel with a Group twice a year to the Linen Green and always visit Synge and Byrne for a quick snack as we travel South. The Staff has got to know us and we have a bit of craic. Not forgetting their lovely food. One of my Sisters is gluten intolerant and enjoys the lovely toasted bread. Looking forward to the next time.
A charming historic gem in a quaint village featuring a delightful museum, a cozy cafe, and nearby Benburb Castle, all with free parking.

A hidden historic gen in a small village. Excellent small museum; decent little cafe that offered a gluten free cake that was beautifully presented( cream, lemon syrup, dusting of icing sugar etc): small shop and Benburb Castle down a lane. Parking free.
Great views over a golf course set the scene, though the meal quality was hit or miss; many found the atmosphere enjoyable and prices reasonable.

Was very disappointed in the meal to be honest. Last time we were there it was much better. I ordered chicken maryland, which I consider to be a full chicken breast coated in breadcrumbs. I got a fillet which had been hit with a hammer done in a batter. The fritters were sweetcorn were both lovely.
The chips were exceptionally greasy. I ordered the roulade and was expecting a lovely fresh baked homemade roulade...unfortunately it seemed to be a frozen one, very similar to that of lidl.
Atmosphere was great and it was lovely to be seated where you could look out over the golf course. On the plus side, they do cater for gluten free and have a proper gluten free menu. Which contributed to them getting a score of 4. I probably would go back and try it again someday as it was quite reasonably priced.
