Absolutely love this place, though I must admit it is a place I only ever go when I know I have the money. Me and my sister used to go here a lot, they do a lot of gluten free options that taste really good. I've also been here with my partner too. On one occasion we made a food order and sat outside with our drinks. The waitress came over to give us our order and accidentally dropped the fries all over the table. We told her it was ok, and my partner laughed about it saying he would still eat them. But the poor girl was so upset by what she did, she couldn't stop apologising and told us we could get another bowl of fries free of charge. Wow!
Accidents happen, and she was very apologetic and kind about the incident. We thanked her profusely. Lovely staff besides that incident to begin with anyways, I've always liked the atmosphere here. I also think it's brilliant for vegetarian options too with regards to pizzas

Our first visit to the Anchor we were well impressed with our phone and messages explaining that our daughter was autistic and had gluten and dairy allergies nothing was to much trouble to make our special visit relaxing.The staff were marvellous and the food was excellent we had two pie meals and the daughter had the sausage which were lovely I will be definitely be back when I’m in chesterfield again

My wife has a slight gluten intolerance and said so when the waitress asked about allergies. Stupid mistake. We then were barred from ordering on the app and the waitress wouldn’t relent when we insisted it was a mistake and we were hungry and please could we just order on the app, which would have been easier. All in all an evening nearly derailed by a weirdly dogmatic waitress.
Apart from that food was the same as usual.
