Visited due to high expectations of gluten free afternoon tea for my mum ... it wasn't great. The cake slice was a generic shop bought lemon loaf cake (dry). The sandwich was tiny! On awful defrosted gluten free bread. BUT the scone was delicious thank goodness ... but it was tiny, half the size of their regular scones. All the gluten free food was half the size of their regular food but same prices. Oh, and the prosecco wasn't even chilled lol. I would recommend their scones tho, very yummy.

The food is lovely. It's a great place to go if you are celiac or require gluten free food. Lovely on early evenings if you don't want too much noise.

I informed a waitress that I was gluten intolerant (meaning that I can eat things that have made contact with gluten; just not foods that contain gluten)- no issues there. I then tried a chip off of my dining partner's plate- again not an issue, since it does not contain gluten.
A man with a flat cap and glasses then sits at the counter, talking to the hostess about booking information. I assume he is some sort of owner. He goes on a long rant about how people shouldn't call themselves coeliac if it is just a dietary preference, and that trying "just a chip" (yes, exact words,) was insulting to the kitchen staff that disinfect work stations and use separate fryers in order to prepare gluten free foods. This conversation happened adjacent to our table and seemed to comment on my actions directly, so it was hard not to take personally. I considered explaining the difference between an intolerance and an allergy, but ultimately decided that it wasn't my job.
Overall- food was fine, waitress was lovely. But what an uncomfortable, unpleasant dining experience. If you don't want to be blatantly gossipped about where you eat, I wouldn't go here.

The food and service was great. My daughter says the gluten free toastie was really good. The only reason we haven't given 5 stars is the toilets really needed a good clean.

There were good gluten-free options and a dog friendly pub.
However, the pub floor was dirty with some left over food and the sea bass was dry and the vegetable plate was not great either.

Cosy little cafe on the high street. Warm and efficient service from the lovely staff there. Popped in for a quick lunch and had the best homemade leek and potato soup. Was exactly like my grandma used to make when I was little. Huge bowl, piping hot with a big chunk of fresh bread... heaven. Menu items all can be made gluten free and lots of vegan/veg options. Brilliant little place. Loved it. Homemade cakes looked gorgeous.

Great food and the staff are fantastic. Catered to dietary requirements well (vegetarian and gluten intolerance).
The only thing that stops it being 5 stars was how close the tables are together, they've crammed even more in since I last visited. You are practically touching elbows with the tables next to you. Due to this it takes a while to be served and is tough to catch someone's attention. It also got very warm, but the staff were happy to open some windows.
The staff were great though with a friendly and humorous attitude.
Very busy - book in advance, and don't wear a jumper in here!
