I have newly been diagnosed with Celiac and had low expectations that I could successfully find gluten-free items I could safely eat. I was in Mobile, hungry, and the restaurant appealed to me, so I gave it a chance.
Moe's has a special allergy menu informing customers which items on the menu are egg free and which are dairy free and which are gluten-free.
I had a lovely meal and suffered no consequences from eating in the restaurant. That is a win in my book.
Charming downtown spot with high ceilings, memorable Southern-inspired dishes, an extensive wine selection, and a lively atmosphere perfect for foodies.

We simply asked Google's Gemini for a place in Mobile that has good gluten-free options. We drove up from Orange Beach for the day because it was Misty and overcast. This is a quaint little restaurant in downtown Mobile that has good gluten-free choices and really good service. They don't have a specific gluten-free menu but they know how to make accommodations. The best gluten-free hamburger bun we've ever eaten in 15 years of being gluten free.
A go-to spot for a safe and tasty experience, where every visit feels worry-free and satisfying!

I recently was diagnosed with celiac, and have been struggling to find restaurants I can reliably eat at without getting sick. I eat at cava regularly and have had a fantastic experience every time! The staff have been very careful and kind when preparing my food, and I've never once had an issue with gluten contamination. I highly recommend checking it out for anyone with gluten issues, not to mention the food is amazing regardless of allergies.
Enjoy a nostalgic vibe with a vibrant salad bar and a clean, welcoming atmosphere that has everyone raving about the options available.

This is a great place for a sandwich and a salad bar. We lost our Jason’s Deli at home years ago and were very excited to have lunch here. It was just as we remembered it. They have gluten free bread for sandwiches! The service was great and the place is very clean.
This spot is known for its attentive service and great takeout, ensuring your order is hot and just right every time.

First let me say, Sarah C. was one of the best servers I have ever had in Mobile, Alabama. She was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful! As someone with Severe Celiac, I don't often feel safe eating out, but she reassured me and made sure my food was cooked properly and I did not get sick!! (which is a HUGE win for me!) Sarah was incredibly personable and treated me with kindness and respect. In future visits, I will be asking to sit in her section because she took such great care of me. It was so reassuring to know that she has people in her life with celiac, which just boosted my confidence in her abilities and knowledge!
Place was loud due to design. Gluten free option was horrible for my wife. My daughter and my food option was OK but we took it to go. Took forever to get the food. Not going back. The strange thing is my wife had gone there for lunch awhile back with tennis friends and her food was awesome. The order we had the other night was terrible for the gluten free option. Barely any toppings and the crust was garbage.
Experience a vibrant atmosphere with tons of tasty options and a menu that’s all about flexible choices to suit different preferences!

Slurp Society is back baby! Phenomenal food, service and ambience. Our server, Nathan, was so kind and knowledgeable about the food and cooking processes. We met the owner, Tyler- so kind and enthusiastic about reopening! I have celiac, and there are several celiac-safe options. I got the spicy red miso ramen - *chef’s kiss* and the creme brûlée is SO heavenly. Highly recommend.
Opening day vibes are alive with unique breakfast options and in-season fruit, making for a refreshing and flavorful experience!

I enjoyed my first time here. We were seated quickly, our server was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was pleasant. I had the oyster scramble and juice. My friend loved the gluten free French toast. A very nice experience.
Recently transitioning from a food truck to a cozy spot, this place offers unique, creamy sea moss smoothies and a vibe that’s totally worth the wait!

Looks like they recently converted from a food truck to a restaurant location! The food was so so tasty. The guys working were super sweet. We loved the sea moss smoothie. So creamy, but not heavy. The mac and cheese was made with chick pea noodles, so it was gluten free and our daughter could eat it. Very special food.
Took the wife to enjoy some pizza for date night. It was a great little place. They even had gluten free pizza crust. I would give them 5 stars if not for a couple small hiccups.
Their ranch and gorgonzola dressing were mixed up and when put on your salad can be very surprising.😯
Over all I would suggest you try this little gem of a place in downtown Mobile.
I love Mcalister for the fact of being Gluten friendly. But when I went on October 15th and ordered online at work because I would be in a hurry getting back to work I wanted my order done at 12:00 I arrived at Mcalister 12:20 due to my clinic running over. I had to be back at 1:00 to start back clinic. I arrived 12:25 they told me they did not see my order but would make it ASAP. After about 10 minutes they noticed it sitting on the counter. So I got my cold meal and ran back to work I sat down to eat it and realized no fork so I would eat my sandwich and then search for a fork when I opened my sandwich there was a huge hair made into it. I tried calling and their phone would not ring so I ran quickly back over there to let them know I need a refund and gave them the sandwich back to them he stated he will refund me my money. So I left and went back to work sat down to eat my potato and went to open my sour cream to realize it was horse radish! no sour cream! Here I called last week still no refund they told me to give it 10 business days so I called back 10/29 and spoke to manager and gave him all the info and he told me he would call me back shortly with an update now we are on 10/30 no update and no call back. It should not be such a stressful situation to get my money back when I was not even able to eat their food. Very disappointed will not be back at THIS locations!

Been here twice now, with my college class and taking my family out. I love the food and the coffee here! I'm on a gluten free diet and ordered their Wheatwich for my second visit, and it was delicious!! My brother and mom also enjoyed their meal. The staff here are so sweet and make sure you are taken care of.
Love Moe's! Food is cooked to order. You put whatever you like on the burrito or quesadilla. Their chips are cooked daily. Always friendly and always glad that you are there. Have great Southern sweet tea! Moe's Monday special is any burrito and drink for $6.50. This includes chips and salsa. Gluten free? You can get a bowl with your favorites!
Good food, gluten free option is decent in quality. Super expensive though so be aware that you're not going to get anything for two people under 40 dollars
This is is a great little place for Thai. They also cater to the Gluten sensitive needs and have several options to choose from.
If you thought Thai was gone from your Gluten free diet, think again.
Enjoy!!!
Generous portions and vibrant flavors make this spot a must-visit, especially for those who appreciate a tasty wrap with a warm veggie medley.

Calling All Gluten-free fans...the Med now has a wrap that is really good. Of course, most Gluten-free items aren't amazing, but with the Med's great flavor and generous portions, plus the warm veggie-medley...ohhhhh yeah baby!
Excellent prices and lots to choose from. Always friendly and understanding of celiac, they go out of their way to make sure it is safe for me to eat there.
Charming spot by the fort with amazing brunch, lively vibes, and a menu that delights both gluten-free and traditional diners alike.

Incredible food, customer service and it’s super cute right by the fort Conde inn. The brunch / breakfast was incredible and the night before we had steaks for dinner. Our server was wonderful. We can’t wait to go back ! I’m gluten free and they had many options for me that made me feel like I may be cheating haha. According to my husband the gluten FILLED options were incredible too.

I used to live in Mobile a little over 10 years ago. My friends and I used to patronize the Spot of Tea almost every weekend. Upon a recent trip to Mobile, I saw that the Spot of Tea was reopening the same day I came back into town! I HAD to visit and it did not disappoint!
Since living in Mobile I have developed a gluten sensitivity and am now gluten free. This changes where I can eat and most importantly, what I can eat. The Spot of Tea owner, Tony Moore, overheard my questions about not having a gluten free menu. He inquired what I like to eat and directed his staff so that I had a wonderful meal. I had a bowl of grits topped with scrambled eggs and very well seasoned grilled chicken and a side of cheddar cheese. Yum!!
After our meal, Tony inquired about our satisfaction especially my gluten free option. He told me that he would be looking into ways to accommodate diners who need or want to see gluten free options. It was so refreshing to have such an attentive experience from the owner! I can’t wait to visit again! Thank you, Tony and Spot of Tea staff. If felt like old times visiting again. It was the highlight of our trip.
Expect an unforgettable experience with top-notch service and a menu that leaves a lasting impression on every visit.

Tried Hummingbird Way for the first time last night, and it certainly won’t be the last time. Allan provided impeccable service. My sister has celiac, and he and the kitchen were so accommodating with her allergy , giving her a double order of the risotto so that she could have a full meal. I ordered the crab cake, and it was hands-down the best one I’ve ever had (and probably will ever have). Mark and Thomas are rockstars in the kitchen. It’s obvious to me that the team at Hummingbird Way cares about providing a unique and memorable experience to every single person that walks through the door, and that’s really special. Thank yall for the incredible meal! Already looking forward to my next visit.
Delicious healthy options. Good choice if you are catering to persons with dietary restrictions such as Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Intolerant and others.
