We have greatly enjoyed Claire’s on Cedros for many, many years. Personally, I have always been a fan of their gluten-free pancakes! I do regret the change in ownership & how they no longer do the classic “Claire’s special” (1 pancake, egg, & a choice between turkey sausage or something else). It’s a bit pricey now & gets so busy but we still go every once in a while as the pancakes are still super yum & we like the area and what they provide! Wish they would offer the special again! Great servers!
The people are very friendly and helpful. The food was tremendous; I ordered the avocado & turkey croissant, and the thing was the size of Popeye's forearm, and absolutely delicious. They have a great gluten-free selection, as well.
The talent and quality of service w/ the baristas equal the coffee they serve! Thanks to Bayer’s GMOs many is us are now unable to digest what we once knew as wheat 🌾. Luckily Achille’s egg topped avo on gluten-free toast is hearty and tasty enough to fool the taste buds into thinking they’re eating wheat again! 😛
My wife is Italian, born and raised not just in Rome, Italy, but specifically in the area of the city known as Parioli. Just for this reason we decided to give this place a try. To be truthful, my wife's such an awesome cook, finding a restaurant we like is next to impossible, especially if it's Italian.
Parioli Italian Bistro, however, was a joyous surprise. We started with the burrata, which was delicious. My wife is Celiac (i.e. can't eat anything with gluten, even contamination is a problem) and her spaghetti with clams was wonderful. I had the eggplant parmesan, which was spectacular.
For dessert we shared a gelato, which was reminiscent of the gelato we eat when we visit my parents-in-law in Rome.
Besides the great food, the price was very reasonable and the service was first rate. Hands down I HIGHLY recommend Parioli Italian Bistro. We will definitely be going back.
Always wanted to try their farm raised beef from Brandt from Brawley ,CA. So I ordered one Tri-Tip and one Drug Store burger. We opted for the Gluten free buns which we knew wouldn't be as soft and fresh as a regular bun or roll. The meat is fantastic and the Tri-Tip was my favorite! Wish there was more meat than bread but next time maybe I will ask to double the meat and pay extra. The butcher meat section is really nice and they have some really nice size Tri-Tips you can take home fresh and packaged. They were out of marinated Carney Asada meat at the time so I will come back and try that to take home on the next visit. Good to know where your meat is coming from local farm raised near El Centro!
This is a wonderful family owned and operated cafe, with amazing coffee and pastries! A good assortment of gluten free options. Beer and wine too! Great patio for enjoying the SD life. Check it out!

Farm to table, innovative original plates with a twist. Delicious!!! Love that chef pays attention to make things gluten free and veg. Cream on gato de mallorca is to die for!!! 😋😋😋
This is a great little joint with personality! Ellery was our server, and she was exceptional! She provided vegan options and gluten-free options. I highly recommend the salmon burger! Great stop!
I love the fresh organic ingredients, gluten free options, the smoothies aren't all made from fruit (beets, kale, celery, coconut butter, and MANY other options), plus the ability to customize. Hubby and I both got salads which were yummy and very filling. We watched them make some wraps which were huge! Employees were super helpful and patient while we tried to figure out our customizations. This is a new favorite place to get healthy and fast food!
