Have a gluten allergy and I have never gotten sick from them. Today I ordered and was unsure if I had ordered gluten free toppings and when I called to asked, they were quick to find out and address my concerns.

This is not a celiac friendly environment. If food sensitivity and allergies are a concern, go somewhere else. My server was irritated at my enquiries. And now I am paying for it.
This go-to spot boasts a diverse menu and a clean vibe, known for its standout sandwiches and a chill 80s dad-rock playlist.

I’ve lived in Crystal Lake for about 5 years now, and Breaking Bread has my favorite rueben, hands-down. Meat and kraut are what you’d expect, but this place really shines with the cheese and bread. Delicious melty swiss and fluffy rye with a nice, exterior crunch. The 80s dad-rock playlist is a plus for me, and my gluten-free partner highly recommends their celiac-safe options. Crystal lake staple.
Popular for their delicious breakfast options, this place offers big omelettes and well-packaged meals that stay warm and fresh even for takeout.

I Ordered a breakfast quesadilla which was delicious! A little under $13. I wanted to try their gluten-free waffle. I asked for just one waffle with nothing on it. The charge for that simple plain waffle was a little under $16.
A coffee is $4.75 and iced tea as well.
The server took forever to take our order and only did so because I had to get his attention to come to our table.
Though my quesadilla was pretty good, I will not be back because I would not be able to afford it! Prices are ridiculous!
I forgot to mention that a regular waffle was a little over five dollars but gluten-free $16.
The bill for just my order was a little over $41!
Expect a welcoming atmosphere with lots of attentive service and a clean vibe that keeps everyone happy and relaxed.

I order on the app all the time, I have celiac and love the bread here, but the order I received tonight the bread was stale. Really disappointed with my food, I’ve never had problems like this before. Don’t serve stale bread.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the area! No matter how busy they are, my drinks always come out fantastic and I never have to wait long. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming every time I come in. Also as someone with a dairy allergy, I’m very happy to see they carry Rosie’s Gluten Free Treats (which not all, but a good majority of products are dairy free).
A spacious spot perfect for brunch, with a convenient parking lot and a laid-back vibe, though it can get busy on weekends.

Top notch breakfast/ brunch / lunch place! They have options for everyone! The service was great! They had a parking lot so it was easy to just park and walk in. The place is fairly large but I can see it getting busy on weekends. We got there at 130 on a Sunday and there wasn’t a wait, and they were closing soon but they didn’t rush us at all! The food was really good and I’m so happy we tried it and they had gluten free options!
This just might be my new favorite coffee place! The pumpkin spice latte was absolutely amazing! They have gluten-free items, and the staff was so so sweet!!
We love that this is real food and that taste is amazing you can get gluten free items so easily and switch out Dairy if you need to and the flavor is still there
I've ordered for them several times But I'm gluten free and dairy Free at one time the order was messed up just one time only out of like 10 times I've ordered they paid for the whole meal And sent me a new one There are good company and good quality food
Rough start. Had to request service after waiting for about 15 mins without service. I believe our servers name was Taylor. She was outstanding. My daughter is gluten intolerant and she took special care of her requests. She recommended the crusted sea bass to me and it was excellent. Overall it was great experience. Always are favorite place to eat.
A cozy and contemporary gem with a spacious vibe, known for its bustling atmosphere and delightful tapas-style offerings.

Friends invited us to go to Jude's. Reservations at 5:30pm Saturday. This is required, this place was full already and for good reason.
While it is a smaller venue, it feels spacious and very inviting. It is a bar / restaurant. I was very pleased with the atmosphere. It was not loud and it was full. I sat at a table for 6 and was not cramped at all. It has a very pleasant clean and contemporary look.
The staff were impressive. Host immediately approached as she saw us enter. Big smiles and warm greetings. She walked us to our table while chatting and another server was also greeting us as we walked to our table.
Our table server was bright, smiled, very informative and helpful and attentive the whole time.
The food is very tapas like. Small plates that can feed one person modestly, but two plates is a meal, very filling. Yet as a group, we just ordered two or three plates to share, like appetizers and then ordered more. They had no issue with that and it keeps the items warm if you do not order all at once.
What we had was very good. My favorite was the lamb chops, but there are so many choices, vegan, gluten free, meat and all were very well prepared.
I do not drink, so I cannot comment on how the drinks are, but our table did have quite a few glasses removed, so someone must have enjoyed.
I would definitely recommend Jude's, but strongly suggest a reservation, since this place is a gem in Crystal Lake and there are not that many, so it is full very early.
Charming and cozy, this smaller spot offers a quaint atmosphere with a standout daily special that's sure to impress.

Great food, I reserved our seats, it's a smaller size restaurant. Service was great, the waitress seemed to know the menu. They gave a gluten free menu. The carrot soup was the soup of the day, and was excellent. Everything tasted great.
