love everything about this place! the service was always extremely kind. initially was going to try this place out at the start of our vacation in montauk, but loved it so much that this was our breakfast/lunch spot everyday. no need to find someplace new when this spot was so great.
the food is all so good. tried out the build your own breakfast burrito, cali burrito, and the sorry charlie. everything was so great. the banana bread (both the normal and the gluten free) were to die for. i would do anything to recreate that recipe.
the vibe of joni’s is also so great. service is quick & kind. plenty of outdoor seating to eat at.

We had a great meal with a large group. We each ordered apps and meals from the menu and enjoyed all the items. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and they made the most delicious Gluten Free cake!
Our server was attentive and welcoming.

We made a reservation for a family celebration party of 14 over a month ago. We received an email last week stating because of our party's size, we would be limited to a price fix menu (at a minimum of $100 per person) due to a change they have made at the restaurant. We are very disappointed, not only at the limited menu with no Gluten free Items, when we specifically booked off of the menu that had a nice selection of GF dishes, but the fact that they wont honor our reservation!!! I understand they are making a change, however, to not honor our reservation as we made it is a completely dishonest and unfair business practice!! I called and spoke to a floor manager and she would not honor my original reservation. This is really infuriating as to find a new reservation so close to the holiday weekend in Montauk is nearly impossible. They really put me in a bind.
We have been coming here for years and love the food. Needless to say, we will never be back and will be sure to advise friends and family about their horrible and unfair business practice.

We came to Mavericks during a completely packed Friday and weren’t thrilled with our table at first. We wanted to be closer to the water. But it turned out to be a total blessing in disguise because we got Scarlet as our server, and she turned the whole experience around.
Despite the place being PACKED, we felt like we were her only table. Some of us didn’t drink, and she walked us through sober options, but she also has insane wine knowledge too. We also are gluten and dairy free and she guided us through the menu. This girl serves: tables, looks, and in the military? 10/10. Also need her red lipstick because, it did NOT budge.
The food and drinks were amazing, and the entire staff looks like they missed their calling as models. We will definitely be back.
