The best cafe for anyone with anyone with allergies or diet restrictions. Gluten free options galore along with vegan butter and cheese! The best breakfast spot during a trip in Austin. The. One was eclectic and the staff were all very friendly.

Saw this on Instagram. We were in a hurry and didn’t review the menu before we went. Not authentic Thai food. Ordered the Pad Ka Prow and had 95% green beans and maybe 2 tablespoons of ground meat. I get the overall healthy, gluten free nature but if you want real Thai then this is not it. I should have been clued in by the location.
A family-friendly spot with standout service and consistently amazing food, perfect for memorable meals with loved ones.

Grabbed lunch with our family and a friend. Our server was super accommodating for my wife’s gluten allergy and our active toddler. We’ve had date nights and lunch at Neighborhood Sushi and the food/service are 5 stars every time.
Expect a relaxed vibe with juicy and flavorful offerings that keep guests coming back for more, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

I got gluten-free chicken strips and mashed potatoes, and they were more than I could eat. But so good. I didn't want to stop eating til I ate them. All will definitely come back again for this plate.
Charming spot with an immaculate atmosphere, beautiful outdoor seating, and a diverse menu that'll leave you wanting to come back for more!

LOVED everything about Elizabeth st cafe!!!All the servers were very friendly, and kept checking in on us. The decor and atmosphere was immaculate especially with all the outdoor seating for a sunny day. And of course the food was all delicious. A good menu with a lot to choose from including banh mi and pho, but we went for summer rolls, fried rice rolls and grilled fish bun vermicelli bowl. They were all delicious! 10/10! A good majority of the menu was also gluten-free friendly.
A cozy diner vibe with stellar service and unique cornmeal pancakes; it's a must-visit for a satisfying meal and laid-back atmosphere.

Gotta love a cozy diner with great food and friendly service. My typical order is the egg white vegetarian omelet with home fries and fruit, and a gluten free pancake (sometimes with chocolate chips to satisfy my sweet tooth). Phenomenal all around experience.

I appreciate places having gluten free options, but there’s much better gluten free pizza out there. It was a $17 cheese pizza normally and then added $5 to make it gf. The crust was basically a cracker, if you like really thin crust this could be for you.
This spot offers affordable event packages and a gorgeous setting with string lights, making it perfect for memorable gatherings.

Fresa’s had a really flexible, affordable group dining / event packages that made our rehearsal dinner / welcome party combo a huge success! We were able to host a rehearsal dinner from 5:30-8pm for 100 people and have it flow directly into a welcome party for all 180 guests from 8pm-10pm. Having both events at one location made it really low stress. Their bar package for the whole night helped us stay on budget while providing an “open bar” to all guests all night. They were really great at working with us and our planner to achieve the look we wanted, use the plates we liked, re-arrange the tables, and help come up with a rain plan (we did full buyout so we could have access to the indoor restaurant / covered balcony seating in the event of poor weather). We lucked out with amazing weather and it was overall a perfect evening under their string lights and patio. Note: the city of austin live music permit ended up being more expensive than we anticipated. It may be worth skipping the live music and just doing speeches with a microphone and playing music over their sound system which would not require a music sound permit. The food tasted really great and they were able to serve things family style so we could do speeches during dinner without guests getting up for food. Service was awesome. They even accommodated vegan and gluten free options. Thanks so much Fresas team!

Toasty Badger is the Perfect spot for the start to our Sunday Funday !!! The space is cozy, comfy, super clean; every single staff member is incredibly kind, friendly, and filled the space with Positive JuJu 😃!
The food was a Home Run!!! Solid home style cooking, well seasoned, delicious, and served piping hot!! A MUST for locals and visitors alike!
The outside patio, covered from the sun, has party lights and fans and is a great spot to “people watch” 😃
They also have gluten free options!!
Highly recommend Toasty Badger!!!

You have to go with the chef's tasting menu. It is 5 courses and served family style. The menu changes often, but the kitchen is able to handle dietary restrictions such as vegetarian and gluten free. Amazing selection of vermouth. The True Romance cocktail is a winner. You should definitely get a reservation, especially if you want to sit inside.
A vibrant spot with a focus on Paleo, but could improve on listing ingredients for those with allergies.

Amazing fusion of Greek food and Mexican. Really convenient location on South Congress, and nice seating options around. The best part is the nice people that work there, Niurka and Jaidy. We had a delicious lunch and really appreciated how clearly labeled all the options were as we are gluten free.

This is such a gem of a place. SO TASTY, all I tried there, and the prices are actually great, compared to most places in Austin. A LOT of gluten free options, too. Oh and free water and chips with salsas to start with. Went here twice already, may come back again soon!

We are rating Green detox soup, Pepperoni sundried tomato pesto mozzarella grilled cheese sandwich, Tomato basil soup with vegan and gf cheddar grilled sandwich. It is so good. Vegan and dairy free and also gluten free bread. I am lactose intolerant and happy to see places that recognize it. Definitely coming back!
This is one of the better Indian spots in the city. I order take out every other week. Veggie dishes are better than their meat dishes, which they tend to overcook (probably for the best, for safety reasons).
They had some of the best naan in the city and stopped serving it because the gluten intolerants apparently demand roti. Samosa quality has taken a dive recently.
Great drinks but not many gluten free options. What we did have that was gluten free was good, though! We got the Brie, salmon lox plate, and a fish appetizer that I can’t remember the name of.
Delicious, inexpensive vegan food with gluten free options. Fair warning, they’re not kidding with the three chili peppers next to the spicy chickpea wrap, but it was delicious nonetheless!
Polvos... plovos is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Austin.
Polvos has the best of the best Margarita 🍹 drinks in Austin!!
As well as Mexican food.
My first time at polvos was in 2005.
Since then.. my order is always CHORIQUESO as the main plate, no as an entrée...
And of course, the Margarita 🍹 drink.
Chiriqueso is made it with three kinds of cheese, poblano rajas pepper and Pico de Gallo, all mixed and grilled.
It comes with the choice of fresh hand-made corn tortilla or flour tortilla.
But that doesn't mean it is the only good dish.
No.
All the many are great !!
How do I know... through the years, I invite friends, family, co-workers, and clients who are looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Austin.
And every body have a good experience at Polvos.
Polvos has two areas to join in the restaurant.
The outside patio or the inside restaurant.
Both are great to have fun and enjoy a great dinner or some good drinks from Polvos bar.
Also, Polvos has their self served salsa bar.
With three kinds of salsas. And carrots 🥕 pickles... soooo delicious!!
I'm watering my mouth just thinking about it.
If you are looking for a fancy and formal place to have dinner.. Probably Polvos isn't your option to go.
Polvos is one of those local restaurants in Austin with mexican decorations.. super relaxed and easygoing atmosphere to just join your dinner, meet friends, and make new ones 😀.
Dogs friendly.
The bathroom area is incredibly amazing..
Very artistic experience 👌.
Since you arrived at Polvos, the hosts people give you a friendly welcome and make you feel as if you are a Polvos family member.
Then, before the waiter stops at your table, the service assistant brings you a cup of ice water with a tortilla chips basket. AMAZING!!
then the waiter comes, takes your drinks order, and keeps the regular service like in every restaurant service.
Doesn't matter who's your waiter.. they have the politic to provide the best service in the world!!
Great , great high standard 👏 from a local restaurant.
That makes you feel special and very well appreciated as a guest. Not as a regular client...
No.. as a GUEST!! THEIR GUEST!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND POLVOS AT SOUTH FIRST STREET.
location: South First Street. South Austin.
Price: affordable price.
Bar: Excelent bar!
Parking: very limited free parking. But with the option to park by the street. Safe walk even at night time.
Customer service: EXCELLENT!!
Polvos has a kids menu.
Gluten-free dishes.
Vegan and vegetarian dishes as well.
Sorry.. this time, as the other times, I didn't take pictures because I like to join my time at polvos.
Maybe next time.
Cheers!!

Wow! What phenomenal food. I made a reservation for 8 people and getting seated was quick and easy! The food came out promptly and they were quick to accommodate my gluten free friend. It was a little chilly so the staff quickly set up their outdoor space heaters which made the experience better.
Everyone kept raving about the quality and freshness of the food. Everyone went home happy with the food.
Parking was easy to find on the property and all of us kept our eyes out for the beautiful peacocks! We weren't disappointed! They're so much fun to watch climbing trees and waltzing around the property.
We enjoyed our visit and will be going again.
