St Andrews charges $4.25 for a cookie and $4.75 for a Nanaimo bar. The price of the Nanaimo Bar might ‘just’ pass mustard since it’s gluten free apparently, but $4.25 for a cookie is just wrong. No wonder they don’t post prices. I think these guys are charging what the people who visit this place from other communities can afford, not what their local customers who live in a 1 block radius can afford, and/or what’s reasonable or needed for the cafe to make a decent income. Be fair and follow your morale compass guys. The rest will follow. If you want to cater to what those with higher incomes can afford, maybe give the locals a discount card upon showing the address on their license as compensation for your more wealthy “out-of-community” customers taking up the parking spots on our street. This might also preempt the locals asking for parking restrictions from council. Or maybe a local thanks for your support day for locals who live on the same street.
Ooooh looky what I found at Delany's today:
Nothing less than The Actual Factual Meaning Of Life! In a cup of deliciously warming coffee. (I wait in wonder with baited breath for when enlightenment will ensue).
I am LOVING that Delany's Lynn Valley now offers a small but tasty selection of specialised dietary options in their baked goods! I am seeing a regular smattering of vegan, sugar free, or gluten free muffins, energy bars and even scones.
The servers are friendly and quick on their feet, and represent the beautiful diversity our glorious nation.
Keep up the good work! Five stars for this review.

Absolutely love this place. So many non dairy options for coffee and had a great almond milk latte. Super friendly staff! Also delicious baked goods and one of the best gluten free muffins I’ve ever had!
Experience a fun and unique ordering system with tasty, authentic dishes served on a conveyor belt in a vibrant and stylish space.

I ordered all of the vegan and gluten free menu items and the hibiscus ice tea. Everything was delish!! It was kind of fun to order at the kiosk and have food come out on the cute conveyor belt. It's a really nice dining room too, the decor is festive and tasteful. I'll be back.
A fantastic new neighborhood spot with delicious meals that keep locals coming back for more.

We love this place. Two of the three of us are celiac and are able to enjoy dinner without worrying about cross contamination. GF fryer! Highly recommended. And it is great fish and chips whether you’re celiac or not. Parham the manager is super nice and friendly.
A clean and inviting spot that’s so good, you'll find yourself returning multiple times during your visit!

Visiting from Toronto and had to stop here after a local friend from Vancouver raved about the original location on Commercial Drive. We were not disappointed at all. The store is clean and welcoming, and the staff are super kind. We’ve been back a second time in the span of a week while visiting - it’s that good! They’ve got several vegan and gluten-free options as well which are absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to be back!

Just had the juiciest burger and buffalo wings that made my taste buds do a happy dance! If you’re not afraid to loosen your belt, this place is a must!
Btw I’m gluten free so they made me a lettuce-wrapped burger!
Authentic flavors keep bringing people back, though some miss the old chicken recipe and find the seating a bit low.

We love the food here, and we come often. The menu isn't deep, but it's always tasty and as authentic as you will find in Canada. I did prefer their old chicken recipe to the current one. Gluten-free is available. The regular stools and tables are bit too low.
