Great energy inside and friendly super cheerful wait staff. The Gluten Free fish & chips was delicious, light crispy outside made with vinegar to keep it GF and a separate GF frier, moist very tasty fish inside. Heaven š As a solo traveler, they took care to seat me in the best table in the room. :)
Highly recommended.
When we walked in, there was a sign that said please wait to be seated. There was nobody around. We saw one man on his phone and laptop. He never looked up to say hello or sorry or be with you in one minute. He just stayed on his phone and never looked up. We waited about 10 minutes with nobody greeting us. I walked around to look for other staff member since he obviously couldn't care less about customers. I found the chef in the kitchen and asked does anyone work here, he said yes, him, oh but he's on the phone, so we waited another 5 minutes and another couple walked in and they too were shocked that nobody was there to greet us.
Once he got off the phone he finally seated us and he was pleasant. I think someone needs to teach him a thing or two about customer service.
We just ordered a burger and I ordered mine without bread because I'm allergic to gluten.
I must say the burgers were absolutely delicious! My compliments to the chef! We have had burgers from Netherlands, Brussels and now here in Queen's Head in the UK and it tasted amazing! The fries were great too, very fresh and crispy on the outside.
Elaine, our waitress, was a super star! Food was perfecto. I had the gluten free smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs. I'll definitely be coming back in warmer weather to sit in the stunning garden

Very enjoyable evening with food that was full of surprises. The decor is more cafe style and menu towards street food. The food was top quality, full of flavour, meat very tender. The menu items include a lot of twists on some original Indian classics. A nice choice of beers including a local Dorking Brewery XPA. Our daughter is gluten free and the waiter had perfect advice on which dishes were safe to eat. He was very knowledgable on dietary requirements.
Had a cracking gluten free, goats cheese, rocket, chili jam and (paid extra for) smoked trout. It was absolutely gorgeous, honestly, one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. Chef came to speak to me to ask exactly what I wanted. I even bought a jar of the jam!
A small place so limited seats!
