Absolutely brilliant. They have a separate gluten free and vegan menu and are really accommodating with swapping things. I had the big breakfast, completely gluten and dairy free 😊

My 1st visit here today 15/3/24.Specials boards on wall.large selection .Cafe caters for vegetarians and Gluten Free too .Which will be of great interest to a couple of friends .
Best hot chocolate in Lichfield, the only thing I would say is the hot drinks are never warm enough. I always ask for extra hot which generally gets it to what it should be anyway. That's my only criticism. Cake's are delicious are some food gluten free options, service is good. It's my go to place but wish the drinks were hotter.

First time eating here and loved it. Great menu choice for food and drinks but next time will take a bottle of wine as they are not licenced to sell alcahol but it didn't spoil anything. Food so tasty!! and they serve gluten free foods.😀

We held our Son’s 18th birthday party here last week and it was fabulous. The staff were all really helpful and the food was delicious. They also catered well for our friends who needed a gluten free meal.
Everyone really enjoyed the night and our family and friends said what a great time they had had.

Having not been here since 2018 it was lovely to revisit as I have fond memories being the last place I visited with my late mum.
Although it is now known as the Inkwell, the feel around the place is still the same. Very cosy welcoming country feeling pub.
We was greeted by a young lady very polite and welcoming who showed us to our table, menus given, drinks ordered and food to follow.
The food was out of this world, the portion size looked on the small side for £15 but believe me it was ample. I even indulged in desert !! My daughter is celiac and her needs were also catered for her meal also tasted delicious. My grandaughter who can at times be fussy also cleared her plate and indulged in desert. She was able to roam the pub with confidence and felt at ease by all members of staff. The main host Sal was lovely polite and engaging.
We have found a winner for all future eat outs and the bonus of the evening was having 30% off all mains.
We had 4 drinks, 2 mains and 1 kids main and 3 deserts and it only came to £52 what an absolute steal. The quality of the food alone was worth the money and then you get the staff who were all friendly and welcoming.
This is a must to visit!!

Nice place with good service. Food was poor. The gluten free BBQ brisket sandwich was super chewy and borderline inedible. Difficult in a group to complain and send food back as you don't want to be left with nothing to eat and ruin a rare catch up. Just won't be back.

Gluten free breakfast was excellent. Cappuccino was very good - nice and hot ( so many places serve it too lukewarm these days ). Service was efficient and friendly. Standards are high on Bird Street and the Daily Grind is well up there IMO.

Extremely affordable spot for a quick lunch, Billie the spaniel was our highlight, but the food was delicious and a fantastic atmosphere (weird and wonderful decor and some great music). The staff were very helpful and friendly. Very accommodating for vegan and gluten free options which we love. I had the vegan breakfast, which they serve all day, and my partner had a huge omelette. Would definitely recommend and return if we have the chance.

Went for a 65th birthday celebration. A party of 8,6 adults, and 2 kids. Slow service, waited ages for starters and kids food. Pate was nice with real Branston pickle out the jar. LOL I am not joking !!!, Sunday lunch, the vegetables were undercooked, and I couldn't even cut the stems of broccoli. The wife had gluten-free chilli concarne with basmati rice, either over microwaved or left under the lights too long, rice hard, and the chilli was crusty. Disappointed, won't be going again.
