Absolutely beautiful little cafe hidden away in Oakham. Wonderful food and even better staff. Nothing is too much for these ladies and the service is above and beyond. The also cater for vegans, coeliacs and vegetarians and have a vast selection of goods!

Unfortunately we came back because it was good when we came a couple of years ago and it was totally different.
We booked for a very early Sunday lunch and all had a roast because we wanted to be quick as we had a long drive but unfortunately it was over an hour and no food arrived so we had to chase them ( and no apology offered).
When food arrived they gave a standard meal to someone who'd ordered one suitable for a food intolerance, thankfully because it had a Yorkshire pudding on it was obvious but even when asked they seemed so uncaring and too relaxed about whether it was an intolerant friendly meal. If it had been coeliac, having a Yorkshire pudding on top just wouldn't have been ok.
WOW! We visited today with family & friends & I can honestly say this was the best meal we have had for a long time. From starters to dessert the meal was sensational! Starters was Anti Pasti - perfect amount. I had Salmon & Rockfish salad, with a honey & mustard dressing & new potatoes - there was so much salmon & rockfish not just a token gesture & right amount of salad. Dessert was Creme brulee, with honeycombe ice cream pure heaven. Wish we could find food as good as this in Hampshire! The range of foods on the children's menu will suite every taste bud. Gluten free choices exceptional, and dishes can be tweaked accordingly. A++

It was our 2nd stay at the Olive Branch all I can say is superb, the rooms, food and attention to detail are unparalleled.
Being Coleaic one is always slightly concerned when eating out, not at the Olive Branch, the kitchen cooking arrangements where fully explained, and a special thank you for the gluten free fish and chips at lunchtime which where specially prepared, nothing is too much trouble.
