Really impressed by the gluten-free ( gf, celiac ) offerings here - they have a whole separate menu and take cross-contamination seriously, which is a huge plus. We loved the shake tataki (super flavorful), the GF tuna tartare bites (a favorite - the lotus chip makes it), and the shake aioli roll. The beef tataki was solid, and while the cauliflower was just okay, it worked as a side. I appreciated the flexibility of ordering either preset menus or à la carte, which makes it easy to tailor your meal.
The major downside was the cocktails - I tried two (the hibiscus margarita with less sugar and the seasonal Yuzu gin) and both were overly sweet and unbalanced. Definitely skip the drinks and stick with the food.
Service was hit or miss — it really depended on who you got. Our first server was inattentive and clearly not thrilled to be there, which dampened the vibe. But once we had a more engaged server, the experience turned around.
Great for gluten-free sushi lovers, but skip the bar and hope you get a good server.

This is a lovely pub with a great view, food and staff - Astrid and Bianca were very helpful and kind to me and my aunty; she has a wheat and gluten allergy. They made sure that everything everything was going to eat was ok with her allergies. When there wasn't any gluten free brownie available they refunded me and offered us a drink. I would highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Second time visiting Cocotte Richmond; first time was great, second time also great. Menu is chicken, steak and burgers, so if that’s your sort of thing, give it a try!
Burgers can be ordered to be cooked as you like, e.g. medium rare for mine. Sign of freshness. They can also be done gluten free.
We ordered two glasses of wine, and they were a bit off their best. No questions asked, the staff open a new bottle for us. Much better.

We had an overnight stay in Richmond and needed somewhere to eat that also catered for gluten free. Came across these guys and felt welcomed, the atmosphere was great, food amazing had a throughly enjoyable visit and if ever back in Richmond I know where to eat !!!! Very busy place with the most epic garden. The server was so friendly and patient with us ordering food with allergies. Chicken salad & fish & chips were both so great and even better they could offer it gluten free. Not masses of options for gluten free (especially as a vegetarian also), but staff were really attentive. Things are clearly labelled on the menu also. When I said I was coeliac they listened and I requested the aubergine curry without the bread. The server checked with the kitchen and made sure the ingredients were all fine. I don’t know about separate utensils but I felt fine after.
