Went in on a Monday night. Very busy and sat at the bar. Wxplanes to the bartender our allergies, I’m celiac and my wife is allergic to cilantro. Placed our orders and the kitchen manager, Manny, came out and discussed our orders and issues and talked us through what we would enjoy within our allergies. Fabulous GLUTEN FREE pizza in downtown Chicago. They cannot guarantee it won’t be cross-contaminated because it’s not a gluten free kitchen, but I did not get sick. The waitress actually asked if there were any food allergies. They also have a number of pastas that are gluten free that I would love to have tried. Downstairs, they have a bakery with at least two gluten free dessert options. I had this delightful chocolate dessert. It was all very, very good!

Maggiano was great! Not only was the food delicious, the service was excellent. I had the chicken saltimbocca. When seated, the waiter asked about if anyone had any food sensitivities and I’m severely gluten intolerant. He then invited the chef to come out to talk to me about my allergies/ sensitivity which was pleasantly surprising. Most chefs never do that.
Overall, my boyfriend and I had a great time eating here. I’ll definitely come back again the next time I get to visit Chicago.

I notified my server about being gluten free and almost immediately the manager came out saying she’s noted the allergy and let the chefs know and went over their allergy protocols. They can make almost anything gluten free, they told me just to pick out what I wanted and they can make it happen. Probably the best restaurant experience I’ve had!

this was the most delectable experience ever!! all the food was so fresh it felt like i could taste its source. my friends and i were taking photos of our amazing meal and then…the manager comes over and asks if we would want to tag them in a post with one of their desserts on the house!! of course we agreed and not only was the dessert amazing but it was also vegan and gluten free along with many of the options on the menu. my friend who is vegan and gluten free and she said there was plenty of options for her and the staff was extremely accommodating! our waiter also went through the menu and explained everything in through detail since it was our first time. so overall 100/10 experience!!

My friend and I were visiting for 1 night only in Chicago and stopped here for breakfast. The server we got was AMAZING. Super personable and upbeat! Our waters never got low, trash was never on the table for long, we were checked on often, and we had everything we needed! They also offered gluten free pancakes which were AMAZING!!! I loved them. They were light/easy on the stomach and tasted like regular pancakes. Next time I find myself in Chicago, I will be sure to come back. Admittedly pricey even for a raw vegan restaurant, but overall fantastic raw vegan food! I'm also impressed that they even changed the pizza to make it gluten free using Cassava! My only complaint, albeit a big one, is I wish they used maple syrup or monk fruit instead of agave nectar. Best raw vegan restaurant in Chicago hands down!

This is a beautiful coffee shop and I’m happy we got to stop in but my only issue is, is that I assumed I would get more help with knowing my options for gluten free drinks. I had email them prior and they told me I’d be able to get help once I was there so that was my plan but once I got up there and asked if the coffee I wanted was gluten free she wasn’t sure so she went and asked when she came back to me she said it wasn’t. So then I asked her if she could tell me what my options were and then she had to ask them again which they told me I could only get a drink with milk, honey and espresso. They were super busy and I was very rushed. The drink was good but I was expecting a much better experience especially when I was told I’d have options. They do have gluten free bakery options but I didn’t get any of those and they do share a case with all the other items so keep that in mind. Lovely coffee shop just probably isn’t the best option for someone with a gluten allergy.

We ordered a Gluten free crust pizza for delivery and the pizza was not cooked through, it was doughy and inedible. I left friendly feedback on their website and the response back was "Sorry the GF wasn't cooked enough."
