I tried Captain’s Oven Pizza for the first time and went with their gluten-free pizza with vegan cheese. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect because gluten-free crusts can sometimes be dry or too chewy, but this one was actually really good. It had a nice texture crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and it didn’t fall apart like some gluten-free pizzas do. The vegan cheese was a pleasant surprise too! It melted well and had a nice taste without that weird artificial flavor some dairy free cheeses have. The toppings were fresh, and they didn’t overload the pizza, so everything felt well-balanced instead of heavy. Overall, I really enjoyed it! It’s not always easy to find a good gluten-free and dairy-free pizza, but Captain’s Oven Pizza did a great job and is my go to spot.

The staff was so friendly, service was quick. I have celiac disease and one of the owners came out to ensure my dietary restrictions were taken into account. She brought my food to me and confirmed all precautions were taken to avoid cross contamination. The pasta was the best pasta I have ever tasted, my husband couldn’t even taste that my pasta was gluten free. Highly recommend Alberello!!

One of my favourite pizza places. There used to be one in Vancouver close to my house, so we would go there a lot as a family. Although that location is closed now, we often stop at the North Van location when driving through. Their pizza has flavourful sauce, and is the only thin crust pizza I have had without the crust getting oily/burnt. Delicious! The reason I did not give five stars is because: -The restaurant itself is small so there is not room inside for bigger groups, and also is not air conditioned. -The gluten-free crusts are small as they are most likely pre-made. However, everything else is great!

How have we lived here for six years and not tried Lionsgste pizza!? I looked up gluten-free pizza and LG pizza was the top of my search. We ordered a gluten-free pizza with vegan cheese and I was thoroughly impressed with the flavour and the amount of toppings! The staff are super friendly and very flexible allowing us to split the toppings half and half. My kids absolutely loved the pizza, which is very telling because they are quite picky eaters. I do have to say,I see people are commenting on the price of the pizza, but that’s what you pay for a good quality pizza. I mean the box was heavy, so to me that means quality ingredients. We will absolutely be back!!

Fantastic pizza and customer service! They have gluten free and dairy free options, and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The gluten free pizza was delicious and generously portioned compared to a chain like Pizza Nova or Pizza Pizza. This is my one and only pizzeria now.

I love this Fresh Slice Pizza outlet. It is manned by some really lovely people who have worked there for a long time, and who get to know what you like and make a concerted effort to make you a tasty pizza. Gluten free options are super. The taste is super and the crust is quite thin. No dairy free cheese unfortunately, but they do have three options for vegetarian pizzas which are all delicious! I quite enjoy the Mediterranean with the small tomatoes 🍅 and spinach, and the Italian one which has Pesto! 😁

I need to preface here that I got the gluten free crust. Friendly enough staff. Helped answer my questions over the phone before taking my order. My pizzas were quite tasty, but the gluten free crust was literally a rice flour wrap. While I generally prefer quality over quantity, there just wasn’t enough food to justify the price point. In their defence, they did tell me that it was a small portion, but it was literally (tasty) toppings on top of a thin wrap.
