TL;DR I’m celiac and went for the gluten-free options but the buns & fries made in a shared convection oven with gluten-containing items, so the bowls are the safest option. I went here yesterday to try the hot dogs and I ended up having a delicious meal, however I was a bit disappointed initially because I couldn’t actually get the haute dogs with a bun or the fries. They seem knowledgeably about celiac and the mostly the whole menu can be made gluten free, however the buns and fries are made in a shared convection oven (which circulates air, and thus gluten) with gluten/containing buns, etc. This is unavoidable for the buns because they have to cook from frozen and that can’t be done on their grill. At first they didn’t realize this and did say it’s safe, but as soon as I mentioned it about the fries, the staff went out of their way to tell me that the buns are prepared the same way so I could make a decision to not get it, I appreciated that a lot! They do have a separate grill and ingredients, so I ended up getting a Caesar bowl which was delicious and I didn’t get sick. Personally I’m more careful so I didn’t trust the buns and fries, but it’s up to you and your tolerance. I really hope they can get a separate method for the gluten free buns and fries so we can enjoy them safely too!

Fantastic gluten free food offerings. Chose the sausage which is 100% gluten free, the beef burger with gluten free bun (+ €2 which is not bad) and the old bruges cheese and bacon loaded fries. Absolutely delicious and gluten free. Reasonable price too!

We had a delicious meal here. My friend cannot eat gluten but there is a wide option available to eat gluten free! The waitress is also super friendly! You do indeed have to wait a little longer for your food, but you get really delicious and lots of food, so that doesn't matter! If we are in Leuven again, we will definitely eat here again!

Wonderful restaurant, I have been going here for years and I don’t intend in stopping. Delicious food, great service but if you are seated upstairs it might take some time to so a waiter. Nice atmosphere and large garde. A plethora of different dishes and they offer a lot of allergy/ intolerance free food. Such as gluten and nuts. Can eat steak, pancakes pasta all in the same restaurant. You also get bread(possible gluten free) with your meals and butter. Wonderful place but a tad bit on the more expensive side.

The Belgian Blue steak and flemish stew was fantastic. The service was wonderful. They understood gluten free. A great choice for dinner. They could turn the lights down a bit to make it more intimate, but we quickly dismissed that once the food arrived.

What a gem! So happy that I discovered restaurant Verthé! Everything is 100% vegan and gluten-free, and yet super tasty - you really don't miss anything. The dishes are original, beautifully prepared and above all very tasty. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is super friendly. You notice that they love what they do here. Whether you eat vegan/gluten-free or just want to try something new: this is highly recommended.

A nicely decorated breakfast and brunch bar. The bar is there for everyone, also for vegetarians and vegans. You can also eat gluten-free or lactose-free. There are also delicious drinks and tasty food. Everyone is welcome, the place is cozy and quiet, but also has a homely atmosphere. There is also a small terrace in front of the building with a view of the Schoten canal.

In the meantime, it is a tradition to have dinner at the mama's house for our birthday. For people with celiac disease this is heaven on earth. Most of the menu is gluten-free.... We started with a delicious cocktail from home. The food was once again top notch We ended with a super delicious dessert. The vava provides friendly and pleasant service. Very tasty gluten free pancakes with chocolate, you had to order with a QR code, which is easy, but I also miss the personal service. I didn't get sick from the food, luckily, and it was very tasty. A bit pricey though.

The food was really delicious, especially the mussels and fish dishes are absolutely recommended. The location is super cozy and atmospheric. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Extra plus for the gluten-free menu: top arranged! Definitely recommended, I would love to come back here again.

You can both take away food here and eat in. I ate in the restaurant where there is a homely, cozy, pleasant atmosphere with relaxing music. There is also a garden where you can relax in the summer. They have a full vegetarian menu here, with many vegan/lactose-free and gluten-free options. I enjoyed the eggplant in layers and the Chuck (chocolate cake) with a coffee afterwards. You may spend a bit more here, but the food was really good quality and very tasty. I can definitely feel it to eat here. I would like to come back myself to try other dishes.

It's a pity that there was cheese on the spaghetti that we asked for the lactose intolerant person and a cookie on the ice cream for the person with celiac disease (we specifically requested it). Super child friendly, we received pencils and a drawing book per child. High chair available as well as bavettes. Delicious food for young and old, with a great price-quality ratio. And don't forget, Vegan and gluten free options!

For glutenfree people it is not recommended to eat here. My experience at the Pizza hut in Gent was very bad. There was only a group of young people (15 years old) working there at the moment. They probably did not know about how glutenfree works. Luckily I could look in the kitchen and see that they cut te gluten-free pizza with the same knife as all the gluten pizzas. They did make a new pizza, I cut it myself. The pizza was square and only half covered with saus and cheese, not delicious. It is known that in places like this there is a high change of cross contamination, but the staff was not carefull at all and not knowledgeable about glutenfree. The overall feeling of this place felt very chaotic. It was not busy during our visit so staff was talking in a group at the table next to us about their free time, not professional. It was also dirty inside the place. I will not visit here again. We talked to the manager and provided him with some tips for in the future. Because just a few small improvements can make this place a lot more attractive.

Been twice with varying experiences. First time having to wait a long time for just drinks even though it wasn't particularly busy. 2nd time the service was better. Food was very good, but our daughter eats gluten-free. Clearly indicated, but then they just throw bread on her salad. Knowledge of the waitress about this was limited. Well resolved.

Good location, right in the center, and the interior is nice. That's the only positive thing about our visit to Alice. I can confirm what I read - afterwards - in other reviews: the owner was anything but friendly, as if we were not welcome. Moreover, we had to wait a really long time before our order was taken. I even went to the counter to place my order, but was then (un)friendlyly directed back to my seat. When we wanted to order something extra afterwards - we were not yet satisfied - that was no longer possible because it was already after 12 o'clock and the people for lunch were already waiting in the hallway. It was made clear to us that we really had to leave when the owner came to clear the table while we were still eating. Someone from the group has taken her pistol outside. Finally, I would like to say that I chose this address because it was recommended several times online as a place with gluten- and lactose-free alternatives. Badass. Actually, nothing was lactose-free, except for the scrambled eggs that were prepared 'specially for me' without milk. Gluten-free meant two sponge rolls for which a supplement of one euro was charged. See you never again.

Delicious gluten free spaghetti! Staff was very friendly. I had gluten free spaghetti with a creamy chicken sauce (can't remember the name now). The portion was quite big, pretty satisfying for those that like to fill up. For entry we had a mixed tapas plate with 3 different dip sauces, bread and nachos and some olives. That was quite good also to keep busy while waiting for the food. The atmosphere was calm and the music kept a good talking environment. Good experience overall, thank you to all the staff. Worth the money, worth the visit. We will be returning given the chance.

I had gluten free pasta with "holy sauce". Even though it was tasty, and the pasta was a bit crunchy, which I liked, there were portions of it "glued", like it wasn't mixed enough during cooking. That is the only reason for the 3 stars in the food. Service was very good the staff was very nice, and wrote funny sentences in our "bavets".

Very good service, although we arrived almost an hour before closing time, as they were already clearing up and didn't have all the tables available. The burger was okay, nothing special, but it tasted good. They do have a gluten-free option.
