Having been to Saravanaa bhavan in Delhi, London and paris, I had high hopes of Amsterdam as well, but oh well. It was a mild experience much at lower level than all my previous experiences.
I was very surprised that this branch is only one who couldn't cater to gluten free dosa (GF). I mean can't complain it had many other options that were GF but I go this restaurant for my dosa not to have a North Indian meal. The restaurant didn't look or feel very appealing though the staff were very warm, served us with a smile on their face. I might retrun for service but over all, food was a miss for me.
With a cozy vibe and a menu full of marked options, this spot is perfect for a relaxing brunch or lunch in a sunny corner.

Recently tried to have lunch here, but that turned out to be difficult with a gluten intolerance. There was gluten-free bread, but a sandwich (which already costs €8.50) was not possibly gluten-free. Not because it was not possible to prepare it in the kitchen, but because the gluten-free bread was too expensive for the sandwich. A sandwich that cost almost 14 euros was possible. Never heard anything so ridiculous, we won't be coming back here.
With loads of customizable options and tasty omelettes, this lively spot is a dependable brunch choice in Amsterdam.

Great eggs, nice menu combinations, and make your own options! Big and tasty brunch cocktails! Super nice semttaff too. Clean place and kitchen. Vegetarian, gluten free as well.

This place is definitely overpriced for what it offers. I ordered a dish with gluten-free bread, and it was incredibly dry and flavorless—not just because of the bread itself, but also because of the uninspired toppings. For €17, I expected something with more care and flavor. They could have put a bit more love into it. On the plus side, the staff was really nice!

I am gluten intolerant, and found this on the Find Me GF app. The man who served us was very kind and told me what I could and couldn’t have. The falafel was delicious! So tasty with the unlimited salad you can get - and the chips are GF too! Very yummy, and home made. 10/10 recommend if you’re in Amsterdam after a tasty meal.

Dinner in the dark. Very intense experience. Not recommended for those suffering from claustrophobia.
We simply reported the need for a gluten-free menu when booking. The waiters are blind, they bring the dishes to the table and, at the end of the dinner, you can try to guess what the menu included by talking to the boy at the entrance. Highly recommended to better understand the life of the blind
The experience would of been perfect aside from a waitstaff member telling my celiac friend that the break biscuit was definitely Gluten Free which caused her to react immediately and was sick for 2 days after. A definite education of allergies needs to be imposed on the staff
