I wouldn’t recommend this place, the service was quite bad almost rude at times. I ordered the bolognese with gluten free spaghetti. The spaghetti looked like someone had cut it as it was too short to twirl, I thought they were playing a prank. Apperantly it’s because the gluten free version they use is so brittle it breaks while cooking. The sauce itself wasn’t terrible but not restaurant worthy. I would avoid because underwhelming experience and if you’re unlucky certain waiters/waitresses have terrible tableside manner.

We stayed at the Applegarth from the 7th until 10th of May 2024.The room was fantastic and very spacious with a pleasant view. All the staff were excellent. We were very impressed with the food. I have a gluten free diet and they catered for all my needs, and a special mention for the chef who made gluten free cookies for me to have in the room.We had a wonderful stay and look forward to our next visit.
