Beware! While I’ve always enjoyed Finney’s food and their many gluten free options, the last three times I’ve dined here my boyfriend and I have gotten horribly sick. Unfortunately will never eat here again. We last ate here on Wednesday 4/9/25 and spent the entire next day sick, my bf had to leave work due to vomiting and I had to leave school from nausea and stomach pain that lasted until Saturday morning. Food and price is not worth the aftermath.

Had dinner here with 6 people for family. Outside on heated patio. We brought our dog. It was great! Loved the food, came out fast, good portions, good value for money, nice and attentive staff. We would happily go back! Also the fact that it’s almost entirely gluten-free was a big benefit for our group. We like it all, especially the crab cakes, chicken Milanese, and branzino.

Delicious.. perfectly cook Black Cod. The swordfish was equally executed flawlessly. The cool vibe and attentive service make this a great spot to dine when in Santa Barbara. Gluten free was also very easy to order with many options marked on the menu.

The store is always busy, love that I can get a lettuce wrapped gluten-free burger. The fries aren't that great but at least I've learned to order them crispier.

The best sushi I've ever had! And we had to eat gluten free and the waiter was great with recommendations and making us feel safe eating our meal! Will definitely be back!
Food is top notch central/south American. Not just plain mexican; great variety and very tasty
Almost everything they have is gluten free. Tortillas are made fresh with your food.
Don't be scared off by the outside appearance. Small and looks like a dive. I wish they were near my house; I would be there several times a week!

Pizza here is amazing and vegan + gluten free options are great, but $5 EXTRA for vegan cheese is a crime, especially when it's replacing dairy cheese.

Popular restaurant and bakery in downtown Santa Barbara. Great place for breakfast on the weekends. A wide variety of Danish baked goods along with some other non-Danish items. Some gluten-free items also available. All the baked items I’ve tried were good to very good. Depending on the item, you may be able to ask for a small taste before purchase.
Many items available by the piece for dine-
in or takeout, as well as entire baked items such as pies, cakes, and large pastries. Special occasion cakes can also be pre-ordered, such as birthday cakes.
Indoor and outdoor dining available, with outdoor dining being a good place to people watch as this block tends to be somewhat busy with pedestrian traffic. Parking available via multiple nearby public lots off of Chapala Street and Anacapa Street. Boutique shopping also available in the nearby La Arcada shopping center.
Discover unexpected delights with unique dishes that impress, even for those who aren't fans of certain flavors.

I'm not used to eating at Gluten free restaurants, but this place had some surprising dishes. First off, wasn't too excited to be going here in the first place. Not much looked appealing. Ordered the salmon. And I was pleasantly surprised. It was very tasty. Also had this Kung pow cauliflower appetizer (I hate cauliflower) that was so delicious. Wow, so good! Overall, it was a great experience.

First time here. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful even though it was extremely busy. The chips and salsas were very good and gluten-free. I had the chicken enchiladas. I requested extra sauce and sliced radishes. It was delicious. My companion had the steak fajitas, the meat was cooked to perfection but it was a bit bland. On the plus side they have lots of gluten-free choices.
Good service and friendly. I loved the gobbler sandwich! They have gluten free bread, but it comes packaged and pre-sliced, is smaller than the "normal" bread, and costs extra. They were apologetic about it to me, but as a gluten intolerant person, this happens a lot. I didn't mind it at all.

The sweet (manzanita) and hongos empanadas and aragula salad are excellent. The empanada dough has all the right firmness, thickness, and taste. This is the first time I have tasted Argentinian empanadas and I highly recommend Buena Onda empanadas. Also, Brandon, our server is very attentive and patient about checking the ingredients for my friend who can only eat gluten-free food. This restaurant really deserves a five-star rating.
Last time I went they said their meats are not gluten free, but this time I went they said their meats were definitely gluten free. Not sure who to believe but I hope they really are gluten free because I love to eat there.

I used to come here 25 years ago in college and I thought I would go with my
Daughter. I was pleasantly surprised with all the vegan options and you can make it gluten free with a bowl. The green salsa was
Good and plentiful. I would recommend if you want a good burrito.
Everyone is friendly and very approachable. One of the staff modified my bowls by adding almonds instead of granola. They have gluten free granola available. It is always packed testifying to how amazing their bowls are.

I thought traveling would be impossible after finding out I am intolerant to gluten/dairy/corn/peanut a few years ago. The Bluewater was a wonderful part of making it possible for me to travel again and eat food that I actually like without having to inconvenience a bunch of people.
The crab salad was delicious and met all my dietary needs without having to change a thing. The server was also very kind about my questions. Highly recommend for dietary needs, just remember to be kind and patient with staff.
My fav place for breakfast/brunch in Santa Barbara! Destination spot on every trip here... that's how good it is! And what makes it so amazing is not only creative and healthy organic, gluten free food but the service!! Incredibly caring, very personal, and so genuine! In 5 years of eating here, always consistent!!

Via Maestra 42 is a gem in Santa Barbara! The quality of the food is simply outstanding (especially the desserts!). My partner is gluten free, and the restaurant was able to accommodate quite remarkably. For example, their GF ravioli was delicious. It was the first time we've been to an Italian restaurant that does GF quite well.
The service is equally impeccable. During our visit, the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about providing an excellent dining experience.
This is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine. Highly, highly recommended!

Since visiting Oaxaca many years ago, I have yet to experience such incredible moles and foods. Truly one of the best meala I've had in Santa Barbara. The drinks, entrees, and dishes are rich, complex, bright, acidic and perfectly spiced. The moles are gluten free and there were many vegetarian options as well. Took my partner there for his birthday and were blown away by the incredible service and taste.

Free parking across the street. Very fast service. Excellent sandwiches. Incredibly, the gluten free bread is also good. Nearby there is a Gino's pizza, which is a speck for an Italian. Much better Pastrami & Deli.
Efficient youthful staff get the job done at this take out fast casual eatery on the harbor pier. Menu includes what you'd expect. Several fried choices and fountain sodas. Our group ordered batter and deep fried shrimp tacos and batter deep fried fish tacos. One in our group was gluten sensitive and they accommodated her no batter (which has flour) request. Tables are grimy and I don't think the restaurant has anything to do with cleaning them. Some of the tables have umbrellas some are full sun.

They have excellent breakfast and the staff is very friendly. It’s the first time in three weeks that a restaurant could offer me a gluten-free muffin. No extra cost for that. Big plus! I could also choose between potato’s or a salad to the omelette and that was really good. This I a popular place but you didn’t need to wait for your food. It would have been nice to drink coffe from a cup instead of a mug and also to be offer a refill. I recommend this place and especially if you’re gluten intolerant.
