Not great for people with serious gluten intolerance due to cross-contamination risks. There was some effort made to bake the pizza in a separate tray but it was still contaminated and I got really sick

Do yourself a favor and experience one of the best Latin food restaurants I’ve been to. It’s truly authentic Cuban. Yes it’s in Detroit. Don’t let that dissuade you. They are great for gluten free options as well.

The food was great. We went there for Sunday brunch and it is hard to talk since it was very noisy. The server was very kind and tell us which ones are gluten free.
Enjoy a lively blend of Cuban and Latin American vibes, perfect for pre-game hangouts with fun cocktails and plenty of space for groups.

Very safe for celiacs needing to eat gluten free. Great food we will be back. A mix of Cuban/Latin American. If you go before a 7pm Redwings game, go at 5pm to get a seat. We loved the chicken and beef Fritas. GF eater had chicken verde bowl. Next time, we’ll order the mayo on the side for the sandwiches, they add a lot and it gets messy. Also, we loved the plantains, but not the loaded ones, because the beans are really spicy. Large groups consider getting the bucket of beers or the fishbowl cocktails because it packs up before games or events and it is hard to get the second drink.
Enjoy stunning downtown views from the 71st floor while having a fantastic time with attentive staff and a memorable atmosphere.

The food was absolutely excellent. The service was absolutely excellent. The view was absolutely excellent. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars in every single category is that I did mention I have a gluten allergy, and there was one small gluten item that was missed in the dessert that I ordered. Otherwise, the staff was very proactive and swapped out gluten-free options without my direction throughout the meal. And once again, all the food was wonderful.

Besa is quickly becoming my favorite spot in Detroit. Our server last night went above and beyond to go over the menu, provide great service, and help my friend navigate gluten free options. He had great recommendations and helped to course out our orders. My wine-knowing friend loved the wine selection. The food is incredible—at my table of 6, we covered quite a bit of the menu, and everyone was satisfied. A few of us started with the Village Salad, at our server’s suggestion, and it was unbelievably good. How could a cucumber-based salad be that good? Just the best. I appreciated that the host sat us downstairs, as it was predominantly a work get-together, so it was easy to talk and discuss in the quiet environment. I really cannot recommend Besa enough and will be back the next chance I get. 10/10

The burger was delicious! I loved all of the options especially the avocado and egg. The sweet potato fries were better than the regular fries in my opinion. The service was great too - the waitress gave excellent recommendations. I would totally return again and recommend. They had wonderful gluten free items and my friend loved the coleslaw.
We stopped here before heading to a Detroit Opera Theatre event and were so glad we did. The menu had so many great selections, and I sure appreciated the gluten free choices and availability of GF buns for burgers and sandwiches. I had the JL Hudson maurice salad and their take on it was absolutely THE BEST I've ever had. Kudos to the chef for giving me a huge reason to come back soon! My niece had the french dip sandwich with their special fries and gave it thumbs up too. Service was friendly and efficient. So glad we stopped at Detroit Beer and look forward to a return visit asap.

We had an amazing dinner. The food is consistently high quality. The service can be a bit slow sometimes but the servers are knowledgeable, friendly and always very accommodating with dietary restrictions. Our server this time was incredible and made really great food and drink recommendations. My partner has celiac’s and we’ve never had any issues, they’re always very careful to talk to the kitchen. Highly recommend the sea bass and lamb shank. Beautiful decor and ambiance.
With a stunning outdoor patio and a lively atmosphere, this spot is perfect for a cozy outing while enjoying tasty, customizable meals.

The restaurant has a great vibe, with a beautiful outdoor patio. The service was also top-notch, and the staff was very accommodating, especially when it came to my gluten-free needs.
While the restaurant doesn't have a dedicated gluten-free menu, the chef was able to make some adjustments to some of the dishes to make them gluten-free. I had a burger without the bun and the kale salad, and both were delicious. However, I would have liked to see more solid gluten-free options on the menu, especially given that the restaurant boasts many healthy fares.
Overall, I had a great experience at Eatóri, and I would definitely recommend it to others. As someone that has celiac disease, however, I would encourage the restaurant to add more gluten-free options to their menu in the future!
An unforgettable dining experience with great music, vibrant atmosphere, and amazing drinks, but be ready to share your table after 90 minutes.

Dining at Pao is truely and experience . It’s not just another restaurant, fantastic music by the DJ and live violin player( she was good) . Great atmosphere , amazing drinks and really fab food. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant . As a vegetarian with gluten intolerance , I had a good bit of options to choose from , I wish there were more . The only downside would be that we had to give up our table in 90 mnts and we were having such a good time , I wish it wasn’t so rushed because some people in my group showed late . But it was a delightful experience regardless . I would recommend this place .
Freezing cold when we first sat down but warmed up a little by the time we finished eating. According to my family the gluten free pizza was pretty good. The regular pizza was ok. If you love a butter crust, then this is the place for you. Regular pizza was loaded with butter. A little is ok, way too much for my liking. And the knives don't cut worth anything.
This spot offers a fun vibe with arcade games upstairs and karaoke at night, perfect for lively gatherings and events!

We had a work event here and had a wonderful experience! I worked with Emily to get the event set up and she was so easy to work with! She was very responsive and told us exactly what we needed to know for the event.
We rented the whole upstairs, served pizza, garlic knots and salad and unlocked all of the arcade games.
They had many different options for food that we could have chosen from which was a nice touch, but we decided to go with the pizza. We also had a gluten free team member and Checkers helped us to make sure that person had pizza they were able to eat.
Ashley and Latrell were on staff helping to bring out the food and serving drinks and they could not have been nicer! They made sure the event went smoothly and were there if we needed anything (we didnt). Thank you both so much for your help!
I couldn't be happier with the way this event turned out and we hope to be back soon!
A downtown gem with deliciously tender corn, decadent cake, and attentive service that makes for a memorable dining experience.

Kyley was so great! Very knowledgeable about gluten free items which makes it so easy for someone who is celiac and hates having to bring it up! She also helped us celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday! Thanks Kyley! Everything was amazing
Great food, great service, good prices. I reserved a table through Open Table about a half hour before we arrived. We were seated immediately and given water to drink. Our server came by for our appetizer selection, we chose guacamole. The appetizer came in about 2 minutes. A good amount for the 4 of us to share. Server came back for our meal selection and our meals were out in about 10 or 15 minutes.
They served the best gluten free bun I have ever had.
my wife and i went sunday at 5pm without a reservation. we full well knew that we would have to wait, so we put our name into their system with the hostess and she said it would be about 30 minutes. We headed to the bar for a few beverages and got chatting to the the people beside us. After an hour my wife went to check how much longer (we had a concert to get to for 730) and they told her they didnt have us on the wait list. We explained the situation and were seated within a few minutes. I have celiac disease so i was happy to see gluten free items labelled ontheir menu. My wife order nachos and I order GF chicken wings and GF sweet potato fries. After about 15 minutes, the nachos came out and I was told my food would be out in a few minutes. 5 minutes later our server came by and said the kitchen was draining a fryer and going to clean it, fill it back up with oil and heat it up so there was no wheat swimming in the oil. Anyone with celiac will know about the cross containation issues that we deal with. Anyways, i told them not to go to all that trouble and to just make me the smash burger, no bun, with a lettuce wrap. They only have shredded lettuce so i said just bring the beef patties. Time was ticking at this point. A few minutes went by and the server came back and said they cant cook the burger on the grill because of cross contamination, so they would use a pan in a seperate area. Perfect, no problem....just need the food at this point. Got the 2 smash patties (that must have shrunk on cooking as they were about half the size of a drink coaster), ate them in 3 bites and asked for the bill. Thankfully the comped my burger. Out we went at 715pm to run to LCA for the concert.
All in all, nice spot, great atmophere and Im going to chalk up the mishaps to this being a new restuarant and them working out some issues. If you just want a few beverages, good spot to go, food....give them a few months to get things together.
A standout spot where the chef crafts special off-menu dishes, making every dining experience personalized and unforgettable.

My friend planned an event for Galentine’s Day today and we were all excited. We expected the event experience complete with a private room. Unfortunately, we arrived to a space parallel to a fabric held together by tape and staples. At the end of our meal we heard construction.
Despite this, we had a great time because of our server Devon. She was kind, understanding, and welcoming. She even supported one of our group who had a gluten allergy. Prior to coming we were told there was a glutton menu, but it was not. She ended up having to eat ice cream for her meal.
When our bill came, we noticed that the bill did not include the $200 deposit was not included. The manager in training Moe was rude, called our host “angry”, and still refused to honor the deposit even though we didn’t receive anything included in an event. Add to that, when he finally honored the deposit he said “let’s end this conversation!” in a rude.
This experience left a poor taste and ruined our interest in returning.
