Ci Siamo: A Last-Minute Surprise That Delivered Big
Popped into Ci Siamo on a whim this past Monday night and was quickly welcomed and led to seats at the bar. From the start, the bartender set the tone—guiding us to the perfect dry white wine by the glass and offering recommendations that turned out to be spot on.
The prosciutto? Silky, melt-in-your-mouth perfection—none of that tough, stringy stuff you sometimes get. The beets with anchovies were boldly anchovy-forward in the best way, earthy with just the right hit of acid and umami. To top it off, they gifted us an escarole salad on the house, which rounded out the starters beautifully.
For mains, I was leaning toward something else, but at the bartender’s urging, we went with the cavatelli and stracci. God, was he right. The rabbit in the stracci was impossibly tender, and the broth had a depth of flavor that was rich but not heavy, with cracked black pepper bringing just the right amount of heat. The cavatelli, made gluten-free for my friend, was shockingly good—I’m not gluten-intolerant, and I still took her leftovers home. Between the crab, spice, acid, and salt, that dish was simply phenomenal.
Desserts didn’t disappoint either. We went with two recommended options, both fantastic, but the real standout moment was when the bartender, noticing our excitement over a lemon curd dessert my friend couldn’t have, surprised us with a scoop of gelato topped with lemon curd—on the house. Her little gluten-free heart was beyond happy.
Yes, it’s a bit pricey. Yes, there’s a lot of hype. But the quality of the food and the genuine care in the service make it all worth it. I’ll be back very soon.
This lively spot offers a unique dining experience with a vibrant atmosphere and a notable table reservation system that keeps you engaged while waiting.

Great brunch spot! They have Gluten-free bread and the staff so friendly
Got the roasted chicken and the green juice. Both very good. Menu isn’t labeled for gluten free but is labeled for biodynamic, organic and natural? Also got fries and felt fine from those too.
Charming spot with a cozy vibe, serving authentic dishes that impress without weighing you down, perfect for various dietary needs.

My wife and I had a great time here. It's a cozy little Italian restaurant with great gluten free options. It's also just far enough from MSG where you can get a quiet pre-game meal vs. the sports bar scene. We loved it and will be back.

Awesome gluten-free and normal options. Staff are friendly, high energy, and willing to answer questions. In the evening, there was a live DJ and great music. UVK makes healthy both delicious and cool!
With a fantastic menu that clearly labels choices, this spot is a must-visit for anyone seeking memorable dishes and a welcoming vibe.

wonderful restaurant! our server was so sweet and attentive and the food was to die for. both my friend and are are gluten free (celiac) and the menu labeled all dishes that were ‘GF’. I had the short ribs and the flan and WOW. I will definitely be back!
Food was very good and lots of gluten free options! The little gem lettuce salad was a win. Also had the spicy peanut pasta (gluten free!)
Great for small dinners or dinners with parents as the space inside is not all that large and the menu puts a small (but worth it) dent in the pocket.
Friendly staff, good food, fast service. Great transparency over gluten free items, they're clearly indicated on the menus which is nice.
Top tip: for a quick, cheap meal, order fries and ask them to throw some feta on top, and get tzatziki on the side, so good!
A unique spot with a lively atmosphere, impressive decor, and unexpected surprises that make the wait worthwhile!

Came for dinner with family and overall experience was disappointing. Food was hit or miss with some decent menu items and others of poor quality or taste. The biggest disappointment was in the service. Wait staff ghosted us for 15 minutes at a time while we waited to order, waited for drinks, and waited for additional menu items which they had forgotten. Also not a good choice for someone with celiac requiring a gluten-free diet. Menu is extremely limited and wait staff was ignorant of what was and what wasn't gluten free. Overall, the restaurant was a bit pretentious with more focus on the vibe than on the food or service.
Indulge in over-the-top sandwiches that blend fluffy and crunchy textures with thick cuts of ham and a unique sharp-sweet mustard that feels divine.

The baguettes are somehow both fluffy and crunchy, the ham cut thick like you have at family christmas, the cheese is lavished in reckless abandon and topped with a mustard that manages to be both sharp and sweet, like your crush from highschool.
The best sandwich in NYC if you don't want to wake up the next day with the gluten guilts. Its so fresh it feels like you've eaten a salad, but satisfies like you treated yourself to a burger. Warning: I must assume dark magic is being practiced here.
Vanessa was very helpful in helping me build a salad that was gluten free. The food is fresh and the staff is friendly. Great place to grab a quick salad
