As others have said, the Fancy Veggie Burger was easily one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had. It’s hard to describe the flavor but it was absolutely delicious. Also the gluten free bun was perfect and I’m glad they offer it as many places don’t provide these alternative bun options. Fries cooked in veggie oil were superb and fresh and the rhubarb cocktail was like a slightly boozie lemonade making the meal even more enjoyable.

I had a nice experience. I was seated in a nice lounge area with a fireplace. The music added to the atmosphere. The server was attentive and offered a dish suggestion from the menu. Spinich Ceaser Salad at Spirits & Tales was very good. The chicken I added for protein was flavorful and not overdone. I took a slice of tomato with each bite of spinich. That added a nice sweetness to the yogurt ceaser dressing. It's also gluten free. I'll be back.

I wanted to order a uber order from Five Guys Oakland. I could not find a way to tell them I was gluten free and order extra condiments. I called the store and spoke to Jake. He took my name and assured me my order would be made correctly for being gluten free and added the condiments. My order arrived and was perfect. Thank you Jake for such outstanding customer service. Very happy customer.

Gotta say the grilled chicken pesto sandwich on wheat bread blew me away. I don't remember exactly the name of the bread I subbed, but it was a really tastey rustic wheat bread with some sort of multigrain and seeds if I remember correctly. A nice large, well cooked chicken breast made it feel like a meal rather than some skimpy snack I would get at Eat n' Park or other fast food joints. And the VEGAN cream of mushroom soup was even better if you can believe it... Definitely made the meal for me... never thought a vegan soup could be so creamy! Large chunks of succulent mushroom morsels gave one a comforting homemade feel, without being overly heavy like real cream. I would eat that soup every day if they had it. Delicious, filling, and overall satisfying. (I would probably order the beyond meat options too if they were made with a more substantial sized pattie. I love eating veggie from time to time but it tends to be less filling than real meat options). I might have ordered a baked good too if there were more gluten free options (and if they had a price listed on them... it was nowhere to be found). However, the unsweetened hibiscus tea was just right, and I will likely be back here for lunch or an early dinner. Although I haven't tried much else, the first impression made a big impact. They even let me pick my sandwich up 5 minutes after close, and add a soup too. Judging by the buff couple who was hanging out and having a low key conversation about the menu when I got there, it would seem the owners' are genuinely concerned about both their health and their business ;)

Food was greatly improved since our last visit -- happy to see new menu additions too. Gluten-free Cobb Salad was delicious as was the Portobello Panini.

Vegan pizza with cauliflower crust is excellent. My fave vegan/gluten free pizza in the ‘burgh. Good energy in the shop as well. The vegan sauces are top notch. Awesome job Pizza Twist - Pittsburgh needs good gluten free/vegan pizza so thanks💯

Lovely restaurant! I eat their mujadara like its mac and cheese, its so good. For a vegan and gluten free diet you can order items a la carte I recommend the mujadara sleek and hummus.
