It was my first time visiting cheesetique. I just moved to the neighborhood so I wanted to check it out. For reference this Restaurant has gluten free options but they forgot and served me gluten free bread! I have an autoimmune disease that is sensitive to gluten so hence why I am gluten free. My husband and I ordered gluten free appetizers and he got the pasta. Then my sandwich came and I didnt know if it was GF. The bread looked gf but it tasted different than gf. I began to eat it when the waitress came by 10 mins later to check on us I asked her to confirm if it was GF and she looked at me saying whoops, "no, so sorry." I trusted her given our long convo about gluten free about all our other items. I don't know if she forgot or the chef and kitchen didnt read the notes but we were clear I was GF. The manager came by apologized told us he took off my sandwich but we shared with him if it was more severe someone could have died or gotten more sick... which can be a lawsuit. I told him he should have comped us for the entire meal. It was unacceptable. He then promptly said dont worry about paying. We left a tip for our waitress still but we are very disappointed about our experience and the mistake. This experience occurred on Aug 2nd and 7pm. We left the restaurant with our food items to go at around 8:30pm.

The tacos were delicious and the service was good. The menu had clear gluten free options and a lot of them too. The tacos are more expensive than average, around $5 each, but worth it because of how tasty they are. I would recommend this place.
Expect a lively vibe and delicious, sizable portions here, but be prepared for possible delays in service during busy times.

Only had takeout from here so far, but it was noteworthy.
The gluten free pizza is some of the best we've had.
The glutenous is of course amazing as well.
The burger and chicken sandwich are expensive but also exemplary. (They are huge!)
In our opinion you can share a small pizza with two people and a sandwich with two people.
Expect an incredible experience with flavorful dishes and a cozy vibe that keeps everyone coming back for more.

This little place has food that is really flavourful. This place is way better than the Ethiopian places recommended in DC. My wife and I found it difficult to decide which dish was the best. Even the gluten free injera was so good and we thought it might be better than the normal injera. We are definitely coming back.
Neighborhood favorite with fresh ingredients, a lively vibe, and awesome happy hour specials—perfect for casual hangouts!

Love this place, even though they don't take reservations. We waited at the bar and had a drink before a table was available. It wasn't a long wait, about 15 minutes, and it was a Saturday night. Food was good, as always. Lots of gluten free options too!

The many dining rooms add to the already cozy, colonial atmosphere. Service is always very good, sometimes exceptional. A wide variety of foods, plus Gluten Friendly, is great. Overall, a very nice little getaway from everything.

Great experience! I went for lunch and had the fish tacos, which were delicious. Unlike other restaurants, they had a good-sized filet of cod instead of just a few small pieces. My daughter had the steak salad and loved it. The staff was knowledgeable about gluten issues, which was a plus. Overall, a very good meal.
Known for its light and flaky baked cod, this spot impresses with flavorful sides and standout shrimp and grits.

The baked cod was very good -- light, flaky, moist, and delicious. The sides of roasted potatoes and green beans were quite good as well. As a gluten-free option, the shrimp and grits were very, very good.
This spot shines with exceptional service and a lively atmosphere, making it a hidden gem for a delightful dining experience.

The food here is absolutely amazing! I'm both gluten and dairy free and they are very cognizant of allergens and dietary restrictions. We went on Valentine's Day and the manager made sure that every woman received a rose. I had the Mahi Mahi Tacos and blueberry lemonade! The service was great, wonderful atmosphere and it was a perfect evening! We'll be back!!!

Cannot say enough good things about this place. How is it so good? We had another lovely experience here with a group for 6 here recently. Staff were super accommodating when we called ahead asking for a table and the service from Deborah was outstanding and fun. The chili is so tasty - they've really perfected these four! And my vegan friends and gluten free friends are able to get something as easily as the rest of us with a feel little modifications. Prices are very reasonable and you may well have leftovers from these portions! I got the Texas chili 4-ways with the spaghetti underneath. They also have Cincinnati chili, Terilingua red, and a vegan chili with alternative protein, all delicious. They bring you a sample plate at the beginning so you can taste all of the chilis. If you're not really a chili person there's also a good selection of bar-style appetizers, burgers, and sandwiches. They hav cheap drinks and really nice little ice cubes, just saying. Can't wait to go back!
This lively spot is a local favorite with tasty dishes, a vibrant atmosphere, and plenty of seating for a quick bite or leisurely hangout.

I have mixed reviews here and have also seen lots of reviews that rave about gluten free. Let’s make this clear the baked goods are not necessarily the safest gluten-free to eat. They are all in the same case with other non-gluten-free baked goods crumbs everywhere next to each other and touching. It is gluten-free friendly so if you do not have celiac disease, I would recommend getting a baked good if you just eat gluten-free as fad diet. Gluten intolerant people eat at risk, but celiac disease people do not eat their baked goods. Their sandwiches are amazing!! Their other gluten-free friendly menu I always go into order and I make sure that they use cooking utensils and separate knives and separate everything while making my gluten-free sandwich on gluten-free bread so it will be celiac safe, but you have to go through the instructions with them or the chefs will just use, the same knives and everything else that they use for a regular gluten sandwich. Celiac celiac should stay away from their desserts. A lot of these reviews talking about gluten-free or misleading because they don’t talk about how gluten-free desserts are and they’re not celiac safe.

Robust spices and flavors. The food really hit. We got the Spicy Lamb Curry and Ghi'u Paneer. It was all excellent. Also enjoyed the free appetizer which was a gluten-free fried rice bread with honey.

We were visiting Alexandria and placed a to go order. My husband raved about how friendly and helpful the people were who worked there. The food was absolutely delicious. I'm gluten free due to celiac's and I didn't have any digestive issues at all with their gluten free choices. We highly recommend!!

OMG. I never imagined a tuna sandwich could be so good. They have gluten free bread!! I ordered the tuna and walked out annoyed I forgot to ask for mustard. When I ate it I entered another realm. Never have I eaten a tuna sandwich without mustard. This one didn't need it. It was so juicy and flavorful and packed with goodness. They are about to see my face every week. Also, well priced for the quality and size!

It reminded me a lot of Asian restaurants I used to go to in NJ/NY State. Food was excellent and so was the service. My husband very much enjoyed his sushi and I was able to have fried rice made with gluten free soy sauce. The hot Sake was excellent too. Overall, we very much enjoyed our evening here

GET THE POT ROAST.
My only complaint about the menu is that there are no gluten free bread substitutes so I was limited to the items on the menu that were labeled GF. The sandwiches all looked phenomenal though!
The specialty coffee was delicious. I got the seasonal rose latte.
Tried this place for the first time for dinner. It was a week night around 6 PM. It wasn’t crowded at all. Service was wonderful. Everything we ordered was really good. There is no gluten free menu. You have to ask for options. The manager was very helpful. We will visit again. They also offer carry out and Uber eats. Pictured is a vegetable dish (front) and Lamb Josh Rogan (which was the favorite of the meal) the other photo is the tandoor chicken (very tasty) which is served with with lentils. Naan bread was good (not pictured).
This gem boasts fast service, an intriguing atmosphere, and is known for its larger-than-life servings, making it worth any wait!

Best pizza in Old Town, by far. Have tried neapolitan (regular and gluten free), and regular new york style. Both are fantastic. The crust is definitely the highlight here.
The food and service were fantastic, and I was so delighted to have good gluten-free pasta. (I had the mushroom starter and the sausage and leek pasta, and both were so yummy.)

I’m giving the food an extra star because they have a dedicated fryer and gluten-free buns, which fit my needs. The food was good but $40+ for 2 people to eat fast food is too much (at least for what we usually eat/spend)! Maybe it’s normal for Alexandria, VA. We were just visiting. I realize that I sound very old when I say, “I remember when you could get a hamburger and fries for…” Anyway I think I’ll make a sandwich next time.

Sisters Thai has changed their recipes. They no longer do any gluten free curries. Please do not order online and call/speak with them if you plan to eat here. They can do Ka prow gf but couldn’t offer me anything else. Honestly, that dish was lackluster too as a meal. We ordered pick up and then by the time I got home found that the other dish we had ordered wasn’t included in the bag… prob not going to come back any time soon.

OMG so stupidly delicious. I can’t even! I had the gluten free avocado toast and could have just died happily after my last bite.
I think avocado toast is overrated, but this makes me understand the hype of avocado toast
Great lower-price option for King St dining. Super quick and kind service! They can add spice to any dish even if it’s not spicy, too. I’m gluten free and got the chicken Pad Thai with a bit of spice added.

A solid, down to earth Mexican cuisine spot with tasty, filling, varied food and solid, kind service. Atmosphere and prices are great as well, especially at lunch. Plenty of gluten free options as well, the corn tortillas are great. I’d definitely come again.
Always fast and always tasty!! Please note: (In my opinion only) I think of Moby Dick's as a fast-food kabob place, so my rating is NOT based on comparison of other kabob places I've visited, but the quality of food and what I get/expect to receive for the price paid here.
I have Celiac's and my go-to is the Joojeh kabob (grilled chicken breast) and rice, but I've had the spicy chicken (ground) as well as the steak, and all have been great (and gluten free)!

Had an amazing time here! We were immediately greeted when we walked in and were seated in a cute little booth!
Ordered the gluten free veggie rolls that were also vegetarian. They were phenomenal with a great peanut sauce.
I got the pad Thai with tofu. I told them I was gluten free and they were able to take care of everything. My partner got the regular pad Thai with chicken. Both were delicious. Can’t wait to come back, great Thai restaurant!
Great sandwiches, good beer. Solid place to go unwind after work. Staff is attentive but not hovering. Drink selection is huge and menu can adapt to before, vegan, keto, gluten free, just about anybody

Nice location and relatively easy parking on side street. Not too crowded early on a Saturday night. Flavorful and authentic food. The table enjoyed the Brussel sprouts, halloumi goulash, and hummus. All delicious. Pita fabulous. For the main dish, shared the scallops, shrimp, mixed grill and added vermicelli rice and white rice. Dessert was baklava AND phyllo wrapped brownie. Staff were able to accommodate gluten free (except dessert) and vegetarian. All of the food was wonderful. One star off because while the staff were professional and kind, they seemed a bit busy. Regardless, we will return.
A really good quick italian resturant. I've been there a few times and I have had their subs and calzones. Each were fresh and really good. One can even get gluten sensitive pizza. Will be gaining back to try more of the food.
