4.5 average at time of review seems to be about right.
Got a salad and added chicken, was a little overpriced for amount of chicken that was added. But the dressing and peppers added was pretty good.
Other people I was with enjoyed their food as well. One has celiacs and this place seemed to be good for gluten intolerances
A chill spot for tasty burgers and beers at great prices, making it perfect for a casual meal without breaking the bank.

Great place to stop for a burger and a beer at a pretty good price. You could get out of there for about $20 if you try. The burgers are great. They have gluten free buns and impossible burgers for the vegan folks.
This cozy spot has a charming bistro vibe and delivers tasty dishes, though be mindful of the narrow restroom access.

This was a nice little find! We've driven through Bellingham dozens and dozens of times but never ventured beyond Meridian Way in terms of actually stopping in town to get a bite to eat or what not. Today we decided to take a break from the norm and we stumbled upon this cute place and we're glad we did!
The service was really nice and receptive, the gluten free lasagna was one of the best restaurant lasagnas I've ever had, and the price tag wasn't too bad for the quality of food. It's the only pasta dish on the menu that's automatically gluten free so I had to reward them by ordering it. All other pasta dishes can be ordered GF but with all things GF there's an upcharge. You can also get GF pizzas and a couple of GF desserts, too.
One *big* drawback though is the bathrooms aren't accessible and are very narrow. There are a couple stairs required to get to the bathroom so if you're wheelchair bound or have trouble with even one stair, don't drink too much. Quite frankly, as a whole, the restaurant isn't wheelchair accessible. In fairness to the restaurant, they're in a building that was made way before the ADA was enacted so this design flaw isn't on them. It's just a product of the time it was built.
I would recommend against having their orange and spice mocktail. It's not at all well balanced, is far too heavy on the bitters, and tastes neither of orange or spice. The server was super kind about taking the drink back when I let them know I wasn't in love with it, however.
Cute restaurant, but service was a tad lacking. That would be honestly fine, except I'm sensitive to gluten and asked for a gluten free bun, and am realizing a few hours later it was in fact, not gluten free. I did tell the server cross contamination was fine, but I didn't expect that'd mean I wouldn't be getting what I was needing.
Enjoy a cozy vibe and fresh flavors in a charming spot, perfect for a sunny day hangout or a quick flavorful bite in a lovely area.

Great food, and fast service. Everything I ate was delicious. The atmosphere on a nice sunny day was impeccable and the staff was super friendly. We spent around $10-20 per person and the food perfectly accommodated our dietary restrictions without modification. Wonderful choice for gluten free vegetarian options.
Delicious food. Nice atmosphere. Friendly, attentive staff. I cannot eat gluten, and they helped me select safe menu items. Prices were very high. Not someplace I'd go regularly for that reason alone, but we very much enjoyed our dinner.
With amazing options for vegetarians and a variety of unique sandwiches, this spot is a must-visit for flavor enthusiasts!

My wife and I were visiting family in Fairhaven and they picked Avenue Bread for the five of us to grab lunch. Turns out, that was an excellent choice. My wife and I are both vegetarians and I was diagnosed Celiac last fall and there were plenty of options for both of us—including some amazing gluten free bread. The flavors were spot-on and and while I could have eaten two of those sandwiches without blinking, I might just do that next time we’re in town.
