I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Gulf restaurant and it was a truly enjoyable experience! The vibe was incredible, creating an inviting space for a laid-back outing. A major highlight is their policy of welcoming dogs, allowing pet owners to bring their beloved companions.
The staff members were not only friendly but also attentive, adding to the overall warmth of the place. I was particularly impressed by their gluten-free options, which were both varied and well-thought-out. It’s evident that the chef takes dietary restrictions seriously, ensuring that everyone can dine safely.
I must mention the mojito I ordered—it was simply fantastic! Refreshing and expertly crafted. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in search of a wonderful meal in a friendly atmosphere. I look forward to my next visit!

Very wonderful! Super accommodating for gluten and dairy free people. My wife ordered the red fish blackened with green beans and shrimp and she loved it! She thought they could use more sauce options for her allergies and I agree. But that’s a super minimal thing.
I got the surf n turf and it was 10/10 excellent. Really liked the crab scallop cakes and I think the star of the plate was the pepperjack cheese grits. I will be bringing my whole family to come back.

First let me say, Sarah C. was one of the best servers I have ever had in Mobile, Alabama. She was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful! As someone with Severe Celiac, I don't often feel safe eating out, but she reassured me and made sure my food was cooked properly and I did not get sick!! (which is a HUGE win for me!) Sarah was incredibly personable and treated me with kindness and respect. In future visits, I will be asking to sit in her section because she took such great care of me. It was so reassuring to know that she has people in her life with celiac, which just boosted my confidence in her abilities and knowledge!
Their lobster pizza will always be my favorite followed by the nachos. But i loved that i discovered their famous biscuits are in stores. Not only are they in stores, but they made Gluten Free ones too in store. You can find them mostly in walmarts for the mix. I was glad i can have them anytime i wanted and the mix is only 3$ so you get a lot of biscuits for the buck.
Expect top-notch service and a unique dedication to hospitality that leaves a lasting impression, making each visit memorable.

Best service and food is top notch. Very attentive to food allergies as well. Being gluten free I ordered mussels and sea bass, even had dessert! Lots of options for gluten free. The mussels came out with bread by mistake so they made another plate. The chef even came out to apologize. Most restaurants don’t seem to care so was totally blown away by the hospitality. Always a favorite when we come to visit.😍
Expect great value with hearty portions, deliciously cooked steak, and fresh oysters, plus a standout red wine honey salad dressing.

Great value. With the steak entree you get a starter salad and two sides! The food was delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection. They made my meal gluten free with no problems. My guests ate steak with the Gouda potatoes and the chicken wrapped in bacon with asparagus and Gouda inside. The oysters were very fresh. The red wine honey salad dressing was to die for! I have to figure out the recipe to make it at home…

1) Great food. Great experience. Was so preoccupied with having a nice time that I forgot to take pictures or review.
2)After the beautiful Easter day drive, surprisingly, they're open! Not only that, everyone on their staff was pleasant and eager to serve their guests! We must have arrived just before their shift change, and which explains why there was abundance of staff, but I'm serious that everyone was very friendly, on the clock or not.
This was my second time here, ever, and I'm still impressed. I ordered the Low Country Boil (which has a gluten free option, with no seasoning), and he got the Shrimp Sampler and some Gumbo. Both of these platters are very filling! The Gumbo comes in two sizes, and is very dark and rich in flavor. My man lived in Louisiana, and said that at most places gumbo aren't tended to long, but the dark ones are.
I trade off a bite of my Conecuh, in hopes that he will indulge me in his bacon wrapped shrimp (which are cooked to perfection!)
If you have room for dessert, opt for a blackberry cobbler, or slice of key lime pie.
Wait staff is great. Food is fabulous. Prices are very well worth what you are getting.
And yes, they're open on Easter, so you have a much better sit-down option than plain fast food!
3) First time bringing my grown daughter with us. Everything was great, except my sad, sad lemonade. My husband got the halibut, catch of the day. And we all sat on the patio for a gentle breeze and beautiful view.
A fantastic spot with a great atmosphere and attentive service, perfect for a memorable outing with diverse menu options.

My wife is a celiac who goes into anaphylaxis.
Amazing service. We used Yelp to get on the wait list . Walked to our table as soon as we arrived. The service was amazing. The server completely understood Gluten Free and celiacs. When I asked about what was Gluten free we got a very through explanation. Not only from the amazing server but also the manager and or owner who indicated that she made the menu.
They informed us that TWO stars next to the menu item is Gluten free she also said that the sweet potato casserole is now Gluten free but the two stars have not been added yet. Even after it was very clear that my wife and I both had to have Gluten free the server checked one more time and wrote down our needs on each order .
The food was great good sized portions and very tasty we got the broild seafood platter and it was just wonderful.
Expect attentive service and delicious dishes like fontina pork chop and melt-in-your-mouth brownie, making for a memorable experience.

The establishment boasts a chic, upscale atmosphere with outdoor seating available, making it a potentially perfect spot for dinner or dessert. The restaurant is known for its seafood, sushi, and gluten-free options, promising an appealing dining experience for a variety of tastes.
The service was commendable; the staff was patient and provided excellent recommendations, which I greatly appreciated. However, parking was a bit of a challenge due to the restaurant's popular location, which is something to keep in mind if you're planning a visit.
The hostess was very friendly and informative
when we called to ask about gluten free options for my mom who has celiac disease. She even took our names down for call ahead seating as we mentioned we were headed their way. The food was very delicious, we had fried alligator appetizer which my dad enjoyed so much he then got the meal, my mom got the blackened shrimp with turnip greens and coleslaw and it did not upset her stomach so kudos to the kitchen for keeping it gluten free! My husband got the hot oysters and he really enjoyed them. Our meal would have been 5 stars had it not been for our waitress, Nina. She must have come to our table 14 times repeating the same line “My name’s Nina and I’ll take real good care of you.” I asked her for a gluten free menu three times and each time she would say okay I’ll get that right out to you and then she would go away for a few minutes, return empty handed and take our drink orders. It took her two attempts to get our drink order correct (we ALL ordered water.) My dad ordered a beer to be brought out with his meal but she brought that out right away then kept trying to get him to order another one. After 20 minutes, my husband’s oysters came out but our food was nowhere in site. She kept stopping by saying “your foods gonna come out soon!” but my husband was completely finished with his meal and we STILL had not gotten our orders! The people behind my parents had left, the table sat empty for a few minutes then another couple was seated...they received their order before we even did! Finally I asked Nina what the hold up was as the people at the table came in 45 minutes after we did and were already eating. It shouldn’t take an hour to prepare 12 shrimp, a butterflied chicken breast and some fried alligator. I honestly think she forgot to put our order in. She said “I’m so sorry, I’ll make it right I’ll go get your order right now.” 5 minutes later our order came. We waited over an HOUR for our food. I saw her talk to the manager and he looked at us but he never came over. She brought us the bill, never took anything off or offer us a free dessert NOTHING. At least you could have TRIED to “make it right!” We will be back because the food was good but if I hear “My name’s Nina and I’ll take real good care of you” I’m hopping to another section!
A delightful spot with a welcoming vibe and dedicated staff that keeps customers coming back for more.

Always a wonderful place to eat! The staff is always friendly and attentive, the food is amazing, and they even have some gluten free options! (They may not be Celiac friendly, but it works for my level of sensitivity.) The owner also prides himself in his hard working staff - and I would absolutely agree! Definitely worth checking them out!

Just ate our best dinner of our week long vacation in Orange Beach, AL! Can’t recommend this place enough and wish we had eaten here every night! They take reservations, are quite reasonably priced, the food was tremendous and they had many, quality gluten free options for those with sensitivities or allergies. Joe was an excellent waiter and his recommendations were spot on. Don’t miss this place at Springhill Suites by the Wharf.
Food and service(Jordan) were amazing!!!!! Best seafood meal we had all week on the coast. They had no problem accommodating gluten-free needs. We will be back!!!

Asked for gluten free options on recent visit. Staff was somewhat knowledgeable about what dishes were safe. Ordered steak without seasoning and baked potato. I had no signs of cross contamination afterward. Make sure to be specific on order because not everyone is aware of what is needed on a gluten free diet. But staff was very accommodating and I had an enjoyable meal!
Justiss was amazing! She was SUPER helpful. I have to eat gluten free because of Celiac. She answered all my questions and went about and beyond for our table! I will definitely come back!
Service was very attentive. Food was very good. Staff is aware of celiac disease and gluten-free safety and practices. Gluten-free pizza appetizer was so good. My non-celiac friend loved it as well. Said he couldn't tell that it was gluten-free.
Hand-breaded dishes and massive sandwiches create a local gem with a nostalgic vibe and some seriously tasty oysters.

Back again and still a 5. Local place. Very reasonable. Fresh-breaded by hand. Not Sysco stuff. Try the sweet potatoes also. Grouper lightly breaded in corn meal so gluten-sensitive option.
Oysters spot on!
Nate’s oysters were baked perfectly today. Superb! The grouper sandwich was massive and delicious… just a light breading.
Servers are always pleasant.
Music brings me back to a better time. It’s the little things. Thx to all!
Only complaint was the A/C was TOO cold today. We won’t be complaining about that in a bit!
Interesting place and delicious recipes, good service. I had the seared tuna BLT - tasty but not much tuna for the $. my husband had the grouper sandwich without bread, he eats no gluten. The best item we had was the appetizer - seafood lettuce wraps - which we split. Our bill was $50+ without drinks...a lot for sandwiches and 1 appetizer.
