St Elmo's downtown still the best but like Harry and Izzy's a nice substitute closer to home. Our Gluten Free / Celiac crew were impressed. Waiter knew his stuff. Manager came out and explained how they prepare the food. Well done. The shrimp cocktail is amazing. Cleans out the sinuses. The steaks are so tender. Expensive but worth it.

VERY GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY! I saw Modita on TikTok and had to check out the hype. From the moment you walk in you are starting the experience. I went with a group of friends so we could properly have dim sum and it did not disappoint. They are able ti make a lot of dietary modifications! Did not take away from the meal. Also - Don’t forget it’s part of Cunningham restaurant group so if you have a free VIP account, you get points for spending! Pork Bao Buns were my favorite!

I can only speak for their sushi and it is the best around! My wife (celiac disease) and I (gluten intolerance) eat gluten free and they always take care of us! Their fried rice is gluten free as well so that is always a nice touch. We love this place!!

Maru is our go to place for sushi. It has the best service and best service. The servers are extremely attentive and fast. Takeout is also just as amazing. When you dine in, miso soup comes with your sushi, but make sure to order it for carry out. I love their miso soup. They are also wonderful with gluten allergies. We typically tell them to just box the gluten free order separately and we have never had a problem. They even include GF soy sauce. I highly recommend Maru as the best place in town for sushi.

Appreciate all the service we received regarding our vegan/gluten free diet! They didn't make us feel weird or uncomfortable. They just made us feel accommodated and welcome. Always love coming here to build a sushi roll or bowl with tons of veggies. Every bowl turns out different and there's LOTS of different sauces to choose from.

Wait staff does well. They messed up a gluten free order, but were quick to rectify the situation. All in all the food is good, the price is ok. 8-10$ unless you go during the happy hour on Tuesday where sushi is half priced till closing.

The short: Good experience! We'll definitely be back! One of the better sushi options in NW Indiana. Fish was good but overall selection was a little lacking. Hand rolls were well assembled and decently sized. Would have liked to see more than 1 toro option. Was very happy to see and hear about their separation and prep for those that need to eat gluten free. The waitress was very knowledgeable on the topic. Dining area is not very big so if you have a larger party, be sure to make reservations. Restaurant is on the 2nd floor and I did not see an elevator for handicap accessibilty.

One of my favorite places to get Pad Thai & Fried Rice in Indy! Service is quick and the food is always good! They are able to make items gluten free as well! EDITED: have now found a hair in my found TWICE here. Disgusting.

I love this place! I have a gluten and dairy intolerance, and their menu is excellent for my restrictive diet. Demetria is amazing and so sweet! She even checked the labels on the sauce for me. Also the milk free smoothie/slush was fantastic! So happy to have found a place close to work that I can eat at. And the customer service is outstanding!

We ordered some food to go as we were driving through from Kentucky to Wisconsin. The food was outstanding--the sushi was very fresh and flavorful. They accommodated my daughter's gluten intolerance with her order. Staff was friendly when we stopped to get our food. Definitely a place you should check out!

I would share photos, but the food is GONE! This has now become our "go-to" for sushi. For those of you who are gluten-free, they use gluten free for all tempura, which means you have so many more options! The rolls were amazing, and the fish is very fresh - and sauces not overwhelming the fish. If you haven't eaten here, plan on time to do so!

It’s very cute place! The rolls are fun and there’s a lot of options. Maybe not the most authentic but a lot of fun. They do NOT have gluten free soy sauce so bring your own.
