I had always wanted to try this place. I was beyond disappointed. The sushi had brown rice which I don’t like. I saw other people’s food and they had white so it would have been nice to know I had a choice since ALL rice is gluten free. I asked for gluten-free soy sauce and was assured it was but then had a reaction later so it obviously wasn’t. None of the workers were friendly nor welcoming. What truly turned my stomach was watching workers fill water glasses by literally pressing the water pitcher down on each glass where people drink thus spreading germs. I appreciate music and a good vibe but it was obnoxiously loud. Super HARD pass.

They have a good selection of food and it's customizable for different dietary restrictions! I have a gluten intolerance and finding safe sushi is a challenge. Craft Sushi has their gluten free and vegan ingredients marked on their "create your own" section of the menu. I've had both their Thai chicken and Tasty Tofu bowls and both were delicious! My only complaint is that the restaurant can be a little loud

Delicious food, fresh fish, friendly staff, and reasonably priced! As a celiac, they also offer a good gluten free menu. I have been dining here for years and have introduced many friends and family to Friends Sushi. Highly recommend! Favorites: Rainbow roll, Yellowtail nigiri, Daikon roll, Edamame

We live in the neighborhood and have eaten here a handful of times, all to the same conclusion. This place is fine but massively overpriced. In spite of being lovingly reviewed, it’s really nothing to write home about. It is not a spot I would take friends visiting from out of town, but I have gone back repeatedly to try their rotating menu and more of their drink list. Nothing - and I mean nothing- has hit it out of the park, which is a bit upsetting at this price point. The service has been fine every time and some of the dishes are good (although most leave us wanting for something) but none are even remotely worth the price. As a chef myself, I can confirm the upcharge is extreme at this restaurant. The restaurant claims to have gluten and dairy free options but also asks that you don’t make substitutions and we have found that many of the items labeled “gluten free” on the website are actually not and can only be made gluten free with the omission of significant portions of the presentation. Basically you get half the overpriced dish to make it gluten free- like ice cream and a cookie without the cookie. Frustrating snd misleading and this situation applies to about half their “gluten free” menu.

If you need a gluten free sushi option this place was amazing! They even had a gluten free menu and GF soy sauce. Our server was amazing and very knowledgeable about what my fiancé could and could not have. Definitely recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I went here for the first time and we will be back.. the food was delicious and our server Lauren was awesome, a real joy. We are gluten free and she was super knowledgeable on what to order and what not to or how to modify the order so it would include items we can eat, not to mention Lauren has such an infectiously energetic personality that made the entire visit. We went during happy hour and enjoyed several different types of sushi at a great price. The fish was so fresh! I am gluten-free and our server was very attentive to that and explained how the rolls could be altered to accommodate my allergy. I look forward to going back to try some of the great-looking cocktails. Can't recommend Haruno enough!

Ask for the GF menu to see what is available!! I usually tell my waitress that I have an allergy and she informs the chef. I have eaten here 20+ times safely, but was once told the salad was GF when it (certainly) was not. I stick to the rolls/nigiri now and have not had a problem!

consistently the best sushi in the city and I don't know why I bother going anywhere else. to go orders are quick, staff is so friendly and helpful, easy to gluten free all of it, and the flavors are SO GOOD. Their chef is a rare gem- he's always friendly if you're at the bar (or grabbing a to-go!) and truly makes delicious rolls.

The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating especially since there is no dining at the moment. Awesome sushi, they accommodated our gluten ALLERGY, yes, they have GF soy sauce. Many things you can't get GF, but everything we got was awesome. My celiac husband got the Old Webster Roll and loved it. The server could have been better, but wasn't terrible. Totally worth it!

Fantastic little restaurant! I decided to try the pad tai, even though I love sushi. The waiter was knowledgeable when asked if it could be made gluten free. My 12 year old son enjoyed the golden California roll. The only reason gave 4 stars was we waited nearly an hour for our food. The upside was our food was delicious and steaming hot! I’m certain that the wait was kitchen related, because our waiter came by several times asking if we needed anything and apologized for the wait. I will eat here again!

We come here a lot. Tonight we were a party of 5. Vivian is one of the best waitresses I've ever had anywhere. She remembered my son's need for gluten-free soy sauce when we sat down, was on top of every drink refill, and kindly left extra lemonade on the table. Viva Vivian!!!

Food is almost always great. I did find a hair in my food last time, though. Hair completely grosses me out but I survived and didn't say anything. I also took my aunt here a month ago, and the waiter assured her the roll she wanted was gluten-free as she has a serve allergy, and it was not. She started breaking out in a rash and hives. The waiter really didn't seem to care. Maybe he was embarrassed, idk. The manager gave us 10% off the bill for it... to me that doesn't seem like enough. Will go back because I love the rolls but will make sure to triple check my order.

Affordable sushi with a nice atmosphere! Their miso soup was light and tasty. I highly recommend the Veggie Fantasy roll: soy paper with cucumber, avocado, lettuce, carrot, and a few more veggies, topped with spicy chili sauce. A completely vegan and gluten free meal for just under $10. I also weirdly love their wooden chairs!

This is my first visit to this location and my first time to an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. They have two categories that you can choose: regular and premium. In each category there are sides/salads/appetizers, nigiri, and rolls that you can choose from. You can select a maximum of three rolls each ordering cycle. The place was full when we arrived but we only had to wait a couple of minutes for a table. Because it was busy there was a little delay in us getting our order but it wasn't a detraction as we were told that right up front. We didn't mind because it gave us time to visit with each other and catch up. The sushi was presented nicely and tasted good. They even had gluten free soy sauce for us! I've never had a sweet potato roll before but it was yummy. I look forward to our next visit.

If you are gluten intolerant and vegan like myself you'll be thrilled to know most of the the veggie options are also gluten free. They also provided me with vegan glutenfree soy sauce. The customer service was absolutely fantastic!

Beautiful sushi restaurant!! Dim lighting, "stormy cloud ceiling" effects, and nice wood accents throughout. I could imagine this would be a good dinner date spot. The sushi itself is well presented and there are plenty of options! Additionally, they were very accommodating to our friend with a gluten allergy. Fast and friendly service in a cool sushi restaurant with great food, would recommend!
